The Ombudsman Program is an effective advocate and resource for older adults and persons with disabilities who live in nursing homes, assisted living and other licensed adult care homes. The Office for the Aging offers many services for the senior residents of Steuben County including, but not limited to, information and referral, nutrition through congregate meals, advocacy, support groups, transportation services, caregiver services, case management, and the Bone Builders and Senior Meal Programs. Bone Builders and the Senior Dinner Clubs are overseen by Pro Action of Steuben-Yates.

Suspected abuse can also be reported online through a form.
