Direct Services include: Counseling, support groups and information on many issues associated with aging and caregiving Home visiting services pair homebound seniors with volunteer visitors Senior housing information Assistance in applying for benefits such as Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) In home Fall safety assesments Ombudsman Program advocating on behalf of residents of long term care facilities in Tompkins, Chemung and Schuyler counties Farmers Market Nutrition Program, providing free coupons to income-eligible individuals age 60+ Publications such as the Senior Circle, Caregivers Newsletter, and resource guides for older adults and caregivers. Subcontracted services include: . home delivered meals, congregate meals, nutrition counseling and nutrition education for seniors through Foodnet . registry of private home care providers, maintained by the Finger Lakes Independence Center . home promotion program, health insurance counseling, Senior Circle Newsletter and Mosaic program, run by Lifelong . legal services through Legal Assistance of Western NY (Tompkins-Tioga) . Expanded In-home Service for the Elderly Program (EISEP) case management, long term care assessment, homemaking/personal care services and housekeeper/chore services .
