Works to promote independence and dignity for adults 60 years and older, those with physical or emotional disabilities as well, and caregivers, by providing information and assistance, and a variety of related support services as needed. Case Management and In-home assessment, Expanded in-home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP), Family Caregiver support & respite services, HIICAP's “Health Insurance Information, counseling & assistance program, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and residential repair, legal services, Project Life Saver International Bracelet Program, and Medicare Prescription Drug Program, C.A.R.E.S. Unit which is the point of entry in Franklin County for information and access to long term care services.
