Seeks to promote job searches, job referrals, and supportive services to divert applicants from the need of ongoing cash assistance. Provides an intensive assessment to help identify potential barriers to self-sufficiency and assist families to overcome these barriers, job readiness training and other employment-related services such as resume writing, interviewing skills and techniques, and supportive services to assist in maintaining/retaining employment. If cost effective, employment-related supportive services such as car repairs or insurance, transportation assistance, work clothes, etc. can be approved by DSS on a case-by-case basis.

Assists youth and adults to succeed in the workforce by encouraging self-sufficiency, familiarizing them with the world of work, facilitating the creation of job opportunities, and providing services related to these activities. Vocational rehabilitation provides HSED (formerly GED), career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations residing 20 miles of all Seneca Nation territories who have a documented disability. Tribal 477 provides HSED (formerly GED), training, career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations (and children of an enrolled Seneca father) residing 25 miles of the Cattaraugus, Allegany and Oil Springs territories.

At H.E.T.P., we train all our participants to be work ready in the hospitality industry and office administrative work. They receive over 60 hours of instruction in skills and certifications in the hospitality industry and office administrative work. Participants get up to 120 hours of on-the-job training and coaching. Participants learn and receive training and certifications in various areas like Resume Workshops, Mock Interview Coaching, Food/Beverage Certification (case by case), Customer Service Training, Computer Proficiency Classes, Business Tours, Etiquette Courses, Conflict Management, Empathy/Emotional Intelligence, Transferable Skills to Other Careers. Perks to joining include: We pay for interview clothes and clothing related to the job you want to obtain-for example, Non-Slip Shoes, Slacks, Blazers, etc. & We will pay for haircuts to ensure participants look sharp for interviews. We will pay for Childcare! Childcare is often a huge barrier to employment, and we want to ensure our participants can make it to class daily. The Immigrant Services Program (ISP) targets our services to assist immigrants, refugees, asylees, and new arrivals who are living in low-income households, have language and/or cultural barriers, and need assistance in accessing community resources. However, we do assist others as staff time is available. Direct services, case management, and referrals are provided to clients to help them gain self-sufficiency.Examples of our services include:. Job development services. Referrals to adult ESL classes and tutoring. Help with understanding and accessing community resources. Assistance with completing applications. Help with accessing healthcare and childcare providers. Referrals to in-house SNAP and health insurance application appointments. Referrals to tax preparation programs including ITIN applications. Assistance with completing notices regarding social services and public benefitsCatholic Charities is recognized by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security as a non-profit agency that can provide low-cost legal immigration services. Services are fee-based, and we offer a sliding scale for individuals who are living in low-income households. We are affiliated with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. Through both a fixed and mobile community HUB, consumers can walk in and access needed services from community partners in one location, removing the barrier of time and transportation to and from various agencies. Specialists assist consumers with goal planning, resume building, job placements, interview preparation, skill building sessions, and a curriculum that leads to the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate - ACT WorkKeys NCRC.
Offers a full range of services and activities for adults and children including computer access, story programs for preschoolers, programs for seniors, and summer reading clubs for children and teens. Also provides one-on-one computer and technology instruction, ESL classes, and resume/cover letter assistance.
