Provides information for expectant mothers concerning breastfeeding. Discusses techniques, problems and continuing breastfeeding (after leaving the hospital). Classes are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7-10pm. 1st Saturday of each month 9am-12pm. Please call for more information. P

Provides an evidence-based, preventive, home visiting model that follows a nationally recognized maternal child health home visiting curriculum.The program helps first-time mothers have healthy pregnancies, become knowledgeable and nurturing parents, reach education and employment goals, and provide their children with the best possible start in life. Each woman is paired with a registered nurse who makes home visits from pregnancy and up to the child's second birthday.

Offers classes for parents expecting their first child or those who have never attended childbirth classes before. The six weekly sessions are taught by registered nurses certified by the Council of Childbirth Education specialists. Topics reviewed include: signs of labor, labor process, possible medications, anesthesia, newborn care, breathing and relaxation techniques, bottle/breastfeeding, and post-partum care. A tour of the maternity area and films on labor and delivery are also included. Classes run throughout the entire year.

Through center-based programs and home visits, provides comprehensive child development and family support services to low income families with children under three and pregnant women. Offers extensive parent education on prenatal care, nutrition, child care needs, clothing, food and housing concerns.
