Home intervention may be available depending on the circumstances.

Naloxone, the drug that reverses overdoses from opioids such as heroin and many prescribed pain relief medications, is now available in more than 2,600 pharmacies throughout New York State. Coordinates care for individuals dealing with substance use, including providing connections to mental health, chemical dependency, and rehabilitation services, as well as primary care, counseling, support groups, and employment and food assistance.

Offers an outpatient treatment facility for adults and adolescents that want to overcome substance use disorders including chemical use and dependency, as well as internet addiction and gambling addiction. Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) is also available for alcohol, opiate (synthetic or heroin), and/or nicotine dependence.

Provides free fentanyl test strips, xylazine test strips, and/or naloxone (Narcan) to households that request them to help prevent and/or reduce overdoses from opioids.

Certified Recovery Peer Advocates will work in coordination with counselors, supervisors and staff at ACBC or other community service providers. In the clinical outpatient setting peers complement the work of clinicians as part of a continuum of care.
