Offers services of professional registered nurses trained in the examination of survivors of rape/sexual assault. Provides immediate physical, emotional, and forensic care. Victims should report to emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, Stony Brook Hospital in Stony Brook, Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, or to local police station and request sexual assault nurse examiner. Does not require police involvement.

Provides crisis counseling hotline service to people of all ages who need help with suicide prevention, mental health, and drug/alcohol related information, referrals, and counseling. This free, confidential service also provides back-up support for ongoing Reach clients.

Provides social, recreational and cultural activities for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender seniors.

Offers outpatient treatment services to adults, adolescents, children and their significant others living in Nassau and western Suffolk counties, whose lives have been affected by mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Provides a full range of treatment services including comprehensive and psychiatric assessments, psychiatric medication management, medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders, individual and group counseling. Offers Suboxone and Vivtrol inductions,ambulatory outpatient detoxification services, on-site primary care assessment and monitoring. Also provides targeted case management, psychiatric rehabilitation, crisis stabilization and 24 hour crisis services, peer support services as well as support groups for families and their significant others. Offers services for members of the military, their families and veterans.

Provides individual, family, group counseling, and crisis intervention services. Calls received after 10pm and weekends are referred to Long Island Crisis Center hotline. Services also offered in Levittown and Bethpage.

Provides free confidential counseling, education and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, including a 24 hour hotline. Support services also include accompaniment at the hospital or to the police, etc. Helps anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, no matter if it occurred recently or years ago.

Provides staff-supportive phone lines to offer around-the-clock companionship and peer support to persons in distress or in need of someone to listen.

The program provides crisis intervention, accompaniment to criminal and family court, police, District Attorney's office, forensic rape exam. Serves as a liaison to the Nassau County Multi Disciplinary Team and service providers. Assists in completing Crime Victim's Compensation.

Offers 24 hour toll free helpline that promotes tolerance and provides support to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth.

Provides a 24-hour suicide prevention hotline to help anyone in an emotional crisis.

Provides workshops and seminars on Adolescent Suicide Prevention, Stress Reduction and Crisis Intervention at schools for parents, students and teachers for service groups and community organizations throughout Suffolk County. Staff consists of Masters level psychiatric social workers and professionally trained community educators. Also provides therapist referrals and a referral service. Call.

Works with clients who are: Suffering with chronic pain that is interfering with their quality of life; Overwhelmed by anxiety; Stressed by work, family and/or unmanageable finances and Struggling with pessimistic thoughts and painful memories. Acceptance and commitment therapy aims to free clients from the grip of emotional and/or physical pain, teaching them to live effectively with the difficult symptoms associated with chronic pain, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, panic and stress-related problems. Through its emphasis on values, behavioral commitment and acceptance, acceptance and commitment therapy prepares patients to be increasingly present in their lives and encourages them to commit to living in a rich and meaningful manner. Services include immediate access to treatment services designed to stabilize crisis situations, enhancing skills and knowledge to reduce environmental and social stressors, and connections to programs and services.

Mobile Crisis Assessment Team (MCAT) provides 24-hour, 7-days a week intervention, including mental health assessment crisis de-escalation, linkage to services, follow-up services, alerts to identify and assist those who are at increased risk, coordination with schools, medical and mental health providers, and other agencies to provide crisis intervention and to help monitor clients who are at risk.

Provides a listing of support groups for individuals addicted to gambling as well as for those that need a supportive environment because they are a spouse, relative or significant other affected by the gambling problem. Groups work to learn acceptance and understanding of the gambling illness; to use the program and its problem solving suggestions as aids to rebuilding lives and to give appropriate aid for themselves or to the gambler; and, upon recovery, to give assistance to others who suffer.

Assessment for requests for foster care and adoption. * Provides a registry of child abuse reports in New York State to encourage more complete reporting of child abuse and maltreatment.

Provides support for those facing unplanned pregnancies as well as new and/or expectant moms and dads. Offers free pregnancy testing as well as referrals for free on-site first trimester ultrasounds with a licensed physician. Emergency diaper program: provides diapers twice/yr to anyone in need.Some emergency baby supplies provided for families affected by disaster or extenuating circumstances.

Provides shelter and educational assistance for runaway and homeless youth and assist youth with their concerns and develop positive social skills. Assists with their safety and well-being and build permanent connections with adults, with the goal of reuniting them with their families (as appropriate). Works to strengthen family relationship and, in the absence of family reunification, help youth find safe and appropriate alternative living arrangements.
