The Warren County Employment and Training is a one-stop comprehensive job assistance center offering access to job listings, apprenticeship opportunities, career planning and counseling, civil service, financial aid information, informational workshops, job fairs, job search assistance, labor market information, a resource room for job search, opportunities for individuals with disabilities, reading and writing help, reemployment services, referral to community resources, and help with resume writing.

The purpose of the Otsego County Department of Veterans' Affairs is to provide servicefor all veterans and veteran dependents in Otsego County, NY.

Assists veterans in securing gainful employment by providing professional development and job training support services and matching their skill sets and qualifications with potential employers. Walk-ins welcome. Assistance available in Spanish.

Provides a myriad of supportive services to very low-income Veteran families who are residing in permanent housing, are homeless and scheduled to become residents of permanent housing within a specified time period, or after exiting permanent housing, are seeking other housing that is responsive to such very low-income veteran family's needs and preferences. Support services include personal financial planning services, income support services, legal services, housing search and counseling, vocational and rehabilitation services through the New York State Department of Labor, employment training through the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center, outreach services, peer support, case management services, assistance obtaining VA benefits and other public benefits.

Provides a variety of management and technical assistance services to small businesses and potential entrepreneurs. Includes assisting small businesses with financial, marketing, production, organization, engineering, technical problems and feasibility studies. Makes effort to reach minority members of socially and economically disadvantaged groups, veterans, women, and the disabled. Provides employment-related services that include universal access to job search and labor market information. Resource room includes access to personal computers, fax machine, and internet access for job search. Partners from various agencies provide basic information on a variety of services. NYS Department of Labor staff are available to assist with job search. Intensive services may include skill assessment, career counseling, and tuition assistance.

OWS provides employment services which focuses on retired or active veterans returning from a combat zone. Helps them with the process of transitioning back into the work force. Offers training programs, unemployment insurance information, cover letter and resume assistance workshops, and information and referrals for other services or resources in the community.

Provides wrap around services and temporary financial assistance(TFA). The services offered include, but are not limited to, emergency housing referrals, assistance searching for housing, connection to local, state and federal benefits, employment and training services, financial literacy services, budget advisory, rental and arrears assistance, utility arrears, security deposits, storage and moving costs, temporary financial assistance and connection to child care providers.
