Assists clients in obtaining needed services, housing assistance and court advocacy. Makes education referrals for GED, adult education and ESOL classes. Provides support for the elderly, undocumented residents and emergency assistance for families. Youth services include Head Start, enrichment, sports, leadership and prevention programs.

Provides counseling, advocacy, job preparation, career readiness training, computer training and support services to individualw ho have been displaced from their careers as unpaid homemakers. Enables participants to develop the self-confidence as well as education, and vocational skills.

Offers services to Suffolk County residents who are widowed, divorced, separated and unemployed or underemployed and are struggling to make ends meet, prepare today to enter the workforce of tomorrow. The program will help residents move toward personal and economic self-sufficiency and discover opportunities that could change their life. Services include: Career Preparation - Choices Exploration, Resume & Cover Letter Preparation, Interviewing Techniques, Salary Negotiations, Internet Job Search, Transferable Skills, Employability Skills for the Workplace, Networking and Social Media; Career Quests - Opportunities to find your personal career direction by meeting and speaking to industry leaders; Computer Classes and Tutorials - Onsite classes and Tutorials in Microsoft Office applications; Vocational Education and Classroom Training; Job fairs/On-site recruitments; Career couture - Onsite boutique offering individuals appropriate interview and new job attire without charge; Counseling and Resource referrals and Access - Computers/internet, job listings, phones, faxes/ copiers.
