Provides evaluations for Cattaraugus County children whose parents have concerns with their child's developmental achievements. Areas of development assessment are: cognitive, physical (including vision and hearing), social/emotional, adaptive development, and communication. After assessment, if the child meets eligibility she or he will receive services through the Early Intervention Program. Child Find, part of the Early Intervention program, aims to make sure that all children have a primary care physician and insurance coverage as well as promote the availability of developmental screening and necessary services.

A comprehensive program designed to provide evaluations and services for eligible children and assist families in meeting their child's special needs. Participation in the Early Intervention Program is voluntary. Services are provided in the child's natural environment, including at home. Services that may be provided in-home include: - Developmental Disabilities Screening - Early Intervention - Occupational Therapy - Physical Therapy - Speech, Language, Hearing

Provides comprehensive rehabilitation services consisting of diagnostic, evaluative, and therapeutic services to children with known or suspected disabilities. Center also supports the Regional Perinatal Center of WNY, and the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Western New York that has the full scope of pediatric subspecialists required to operate a Level III NICU. Each center or program is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of specialists specifically selected to meet patients' needs. Services are family focused and provided in conjunction with pediatricians and community resources. Clinics offered include: Motor Clinic, Spina Bifida Clinic, Spasticity Clinic, Early Neurodevelopmental Clinic, Comprehensive Developmental Clinic, Feeding Disorders Clinic, Down Syndrome Program, Speech and Hearing Program, Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Adaptive Seating Program and Aquatic Therapy.

Provides infants and toddlers with hearing loss, communication disorders, and/or multiple disabilities a small class milieu, 2 to 3 days a week, in a Total Communication, Language Rich Environment (LRE). Instruction is language based, and information is presented by voice, sign, pictures, music, and/or using concrete objects. Infants and toddlers have the opportunity, as appropriate, to participate in "special" classes such as music and dance, plus weekly field trips into the community. Additionally, home visits are scheduled at least once a week with a NYS Certified Teacher of the Deaf to educate family members on communication and other interactive strategies to use at home. Sign language classes and other support services are available to families through the Parent Center.

The early intervention program is publicly funded by New York State Department of Health. The EI program caters to infants and toddlers, ages 0-3, who have a disability or are suspected of being at risk for disability or developmental delay.

Provides developmental evaluations for young children, which is a comprehensive assessment of all areas of functioning including cognitive skills, motor development, communication, social/emotional development, and adaptive/personal care skills. The results of the evaluation, including a full written report, are shared with parents. If the child is eligible for services, it is determined the type, frequency and location of services. If appropriate, services can be offered in the home, daycare or preschool, or within a therapeutic setting such as a specialized school program.

Provides a program to begin the child's development early, and help get family involvement which works on communication and interactions, to maximize language and cognitive skills to help reach full potential.

Offers a comprehensive continuum of care from center-based classroom models to home and community, outpatient and evaluation services. Serves children ages birth to 21 years with developmental delays, orthopedic impairments and complex medical challenges.

Provides services to children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or have a diagnosed disability, who are determined eligible for service based upon evaluations. Focuses on identification and coordination of essential services for children (birth-2 yrs) at risk or suspected of physical/developmental delay. Referral to appropriate developmental/health services. Ensures central role of family in enhancing child's development.

Offers health care advocacy, diabetes and chronic disease prevention, outpatient mental health services and school-based mental health services.

* Provides special education, speech, occupational, and physical therapy to children with challenges spanning a variety of developmental delays, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. * Provides service coordination for Early Intervention families. * Provides seasoned evaluators who interact with families and their child to determine any delays, and suggest types of intervention including Early Intervention Program or NYS Education Preschool Services if applicable.* Offers a 2-hour Sensory Sync UP class. Varied sensory experiences. Services can be provided during the 2-hour class time based on the child's needs. Class is instructed by a special education teacher, and with the help of a teacher assistant to a class of no more than 6 children.

Provides developmental evaluations and services for eligible infants and toddlers, from birth to three years old. Early intervention services such as speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy are available for children diagnosed with developmental disabilities. ###DD###

The Early Intervention program which encompasses Applied Behavior Analysis, is a half-day session and designed according to each child's Individual Family Service Plan. Also provides one-to-one home-based instruction.

Provides clinical services to individuals with disabilities and their families including treatment coordination during the eligibility process and while accessing additional agency services; advocacy with other agencies when additional services are needed; psychological services including assessments and therapy; social work; nursing services; nutrition services and rehabilitation counseling. As well as early identification assistance.

Provides comprehensive educational services for 3 to 5 year-old students with multiple physical and developmental disabilities. The educational curriculum and therapeutic design of the program focuses on skill development through traditional teaching methods while engaging the most up to date technologies available. Classroom activities stress academic and readiness skills, social and play skills. Experiential learning through exploration, manipulation, imitation, and socialization are keys to successful skill acquisition. A cross-disciplinary approach allows for classroom activities that develop the skills necessary for day-to-day life. Communication skills are reinforced throughout the school day in an engineered aided language environment, which uses visual strategies and state of the art assistive technology enabling students to make their needs known in each communication environment (e.g., therapy room, classroom, gym). Parents are encouraged to be active participants in their child’s education. Support services are provided by physical and occupational therapists, speech therapists, school psychologist and school social worker as well as nursing staff and a consulting physician. Provides an early intervention program for young children who have a defined developmental disability, including screening, evaluations and services. The preschool program works with the child's school district to provide appropriate educational services to who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.

CCCCNC hosts Developmental Screening services for newborns to children aged 5 years old. At these screenings you will receive free, valuable feedback on your child’s development by early childhood specialists.

Offers a voluntary developmental evaluation and services program offered by New York State and administered locally by the Nassau County Department of Health Office for Children with Special Needs. To be eligible for EI services, children must be under 3 years of age and have a confirmed disability or established developmental delay, as defined by New York State, in one or more of the following areas of development: physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and/or adaptive. Evaluations are conducted to determine eligibility. A variety of therapeutic and support services are offered to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. Major provisions of the program include: Identification and referral of children at risk or suspected of disability by primary referral sources; Periodic developmental screening and tracking of at risk children; Service coordination for eligible children and families; A multidisciplinary evaluation provided at no cost to parents to determine eligibility; Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for eligible children and families; Provision of early intervention services in the IFSP at no cost to parents and Delivery of services in natural settings in the community where children of the same age are typically found, to the maximum extent appropriate. Provides support services to young children with developmental delays in their homes and other community settings. Special education, speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, and counseling can be provided in daycare, preschools and family homes. Teaching in the natural environment focuses on sensory and language rich activities, adaptive living skills, and social skill development, as well as building attention and pre-readiness skills. For young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Center for Spectrum Services can design home programs employing a verbal behavior approach following the principles of applied behavioral analysis. Each child's program is individually designed to meet their unique learning style and level of family participation.

Independent Living provides a bridge between the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing cultures in Orange, Ulster, Sullivan and Dutchess Counties, this program is actively engaged in community outreach and education, employment, advocacy, service coordination, counseling and technical support.

Provides family focused integrated early intervention and preschool programs for children ages birth-5 years who have a range of developmental disabilities. Program includes diagnostic and evaluation services, full and partial day classroom programs, home visits by educators and clinicians, parent education, counseling and support and speech, physical, and occupational therapies. Also a UPK provider for the Connetquot School District.

Provides services at hospital to parents of newly diagnosed infants with Down Syndrome. Offers resources and new baby packets to families, hospital social workers, and neonatal nurses. Trained parent/peer counselors and social workers make hospital and/or home visits. Counseling and Support Groups are available to parents, grandparents and siblings.
