Programs that identify infants and toddlers who show evidence of risk for lags in physical development, cognitive development, language and speech development, psychosocial development or self-help skills.

Offers several resources to help ensure children get a strong start for a healthy life. Programs include: Early Intervention – a voluntary developmental evaluation and services program offered by New York State and administered locally by the Nassau County Department of Health Office for Children with Special Needs; Preschool Special Education - provides services to children who are 3 to 5 years old with developmental delays and/or educational needs; WIC - Special Supplemental Foods Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC provides nutritious foods as well as nutrition counseling and education for its participants; Lead Poisoning & Prevention – Offers information to prevent lead poisoning in children; Cribs for Kids - providing a safe-sleep education program for parents and caregivers which includes the intervention of a safety-approved crib if the family cannot otherwise afford one; Healthy Moms & Babies - Resource center to promote the well-being of childbearing women, infants, their families and communities.; Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) –provides referrals and information about resources in your community that help benefit children with special health care needs and their families; Child Fatality Review Team - review child deaths to better understand the causes of these deaths and to make recommendations based on the team's findings in order to reduce future child fatalities; and the 4th Trimester – resources to help moms with taking care of themselves with Post-Partum Depression, breast feeding and more. Provides diagnostic assessment of very young children who are suspected of having developmental delays. Once an evaluation is complete a therapeutic plan is tailored to meet the child's needs and is referred to an early intervention program either on-site or in their local community.

Provides evaluation and intervention for children who begin to show delays in development in the first few months and years.

Early Intervention evaluates children from birth through 2 years of age for developmental delays. If eligible for services, the Early Intervention program provides speech, occupational, and physical therapy, nutrition, social work and other services as appropriate.

Provides educational, social, support, early intervention services, and preschool classes for children birth to five years of age, and their families. The Early Intervention program is a full day session and designed according to each child's Individual Family Service Plan. Also provides a one-to-one, home-based instruction. ABA Methodology is used.

Rehabilitative services offered to children ages birth to 5 years suspected or diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or delay, and offers education advocacy for preschool age children which help parents to learn about support services and educational options.

Provides therapeutic preschool, Universal Pre-Kindergarten (Riverhead School District), and therapeutic services to children ages 2.5 to 5 years. Children with diagnosed disabilities and developmental delays are educated with typically developing peers. If eligible, services are provided in natural environments (home/community/day care facilities) through the Early Intervention Program as authorized by Suffolk County Division of Services for Children with Special Needs.

Provides an Early Intervention(EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) related services for children ages 0-5 who have developmental delays in areas including: communication, physical and motor, cognitive, social and emotional, and adaptive skills. Performs evaluations in all areas including diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. Offers individual treatment plans including: speech and language therapy, including PROMPT physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parent counseling, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), audiological services and education of the visually and hearing impaired. Offers bilingual services and evaluations, parent support groups, family training and transition counseling. Provides a child-centered day care program that addresses all areas of development-social, emotional, intellectual, creative, and physical. We celebrate the child's natural avenue of learning:PLAY. The environment/curriculum is planned to offer children choices that are challenging, engaging, and varied to meet the range of interest and ability in each group.
