Inspire offers evaluative and outpatient services for children with a variety of developmental delays or challenges and runs a highly regarded preschool program for all children. Children who have a developmental disability, are also eligible to receive services in our Article 16 Developmental Disabilities Clinic at 2 Fletcher Street in Goshen. Our Intake Coordinator will help you determine if you can be enrolled.

This program provides both an early intervention and preschool program, which assesses the level of each child's abilities and prepare a program to build on their strengths. Class sizes range from 6-12 children, and offer half and full day sessions.

Offers several resources to help ensure children get a strong start for a healthy life. Programs include: Early Intervention – a voluntary developmental evaluation and services program offered by New York State and administered locally by the Nassau County Department of Health Office for Children with Special Needs; Preschool Special Education - provides services to children who are 3 to 5 years old with developmental delays and/or educational needs; WIC - Special Supplemental Foods Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC provides nutritious foods as well as nutrition counseling and education for its participants; Lead Poisoning & Prevention – Offers information to prevent lead poisoning in children; Cribs for Kids - providing a safe-sleep education program for parents and caregivers which includes the intervention of a safety-approved crib if the family cannot otherwise afford one; Healthy Moms & Babies - Resource center to promote the well-being of childbearing women, infants, their families and communities.; Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) –provides referrals and information about resources in your community that help benefit children with special health care needs and their families; Child Fatality Review Team - review child deaths to better understand the causes of these deaths and to make recommendations based on the team's findings in order to reduce future child fatalities; and the 4th Trimester – resources to help moms with taking care of themselves with Post-Partum Depression, breast feeding and more. Rehabilitative services offered to children ages birth to 5 years suspected or diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or delay, and offers education advocacy for preschool age children which help parents to learn about support services and educational options.

The Early Intervention Program provides services to eligible infants, toddlers and preschool children up to the age of 5 years. The services are provided in the child's natural environment, where the child typically is during the day. This could be the child's home or day care. Parental involvement is very important and all parents are asked to participate to the fullest extent possible.

Provides services to infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities. Services include developmental and audiological evaluations, physical, occupational and speech therapies, medical/diagnostic evaluations, and reimbursement for respite services. Also, ensures that children from birth to age three who are at risk for developmental delays have a primary health care provider to complete periodic developmental screenings.

Transportation services coordinated with area providers. * Provides a wide range of employment opportunities for people with disabilities through Hilltop Industries. * Offers social/recreational programs for senior citizens.* Provides group oriented activities for life skills development through the day habilitation program.* Offers supervised group homes, supportive apartments, home care residential living options.* Provides individual and family support services.* Provides health related services.* Provides assistance to individuals and families with obtaining and maintaining Medicaid, applying for and maintaining benefits such as SSI through the service coordination program.* Provides the KidStart program that offers: Early Intervention. Evaluation Services. Head Start.

Operates Article 16 Diagnostic/Treatment Center providing assessment, evaluations and treatment, and family support services through staff of physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and medical consultants.

Provides developmental screenings and evaluations for infants and toddlers birth to 2.5 years to help identify developmental delays. Offers assistance for children with developmental delays or disabilities.

Offers health care advocacy, diabetes and chronic disease prevention, outpatient mental health services and school-based mental health services.

* Provides evaluations and service through the Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education Program for children, including a multidisciplinary staff that includes; Speech Pathologist, Special Educators, Occupation and Physical Therapists, and School Psychologist. Itinerant Service is delivered in the home, daycare or preschools, and other community locations. When appropriate evaluations and service can be delivered at the site location.
