Assists participants of NYS Long Term Care (MLTC) Fully Integrated Duals Advantage (FIDA) and Long Term Support Services (LISS) in managed care programs. Services include training and education, information and advice to caregivers and advocates, advocacy, and legal representation.

This service provides information and assistance for seniors regarding health insurance (Medicaid, private insurance, epic, long term, etc) including prescription discount programs, by filling out applications, answering questions, explaining the process and more.

Medicaid provides medical assistance for those families and individuals whose medical expenses exceed their income. DSS processes applications for a variety of health insurance programs.

Promotes the concepts of choice, individualized services and supports and consumer satisfaction. The focus of MSC is to assist each person in achieving his or her unique goals, desires and valued outcomes in terms of having a job, a circle of friends, enjoyable leisure activities, access to medical and clinical services, and continued family contact after moving from home.
