SUMMER PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAMS | ADELPHI UNIVERSITY

Offers a Summer Pre-College Program that is open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school. The summer program features an updated curriculum that will allow students to explore an academic area of interest, participate in college preparedness workshops, and discover all that Adelphi University has to offer. Students will experience Adelphi’s personalized approach to education and enroll in our Summer Pre-College programs, which include residential credit-bearing experiences on our Garden City campus; You will work with our professors and instructors, and meet with experts in the field and You will go on exciting off-campus trips, including to nearby New York City. EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM | FARMINGDALE STATE COLLEGE

Designed to provide the opportunity of a college education to capable students who are historically disadvantaged due to limited financial resources and inadequate academic preparation. EOP students are provided ongoing support services and resources to help insure their collegiate success. Once admitted to the college via EOP, students have access to a myriad of services including but not limited to academic, pre-professional and personal counseling; tutoring; workshops; advocacy; and supplemental financial support. The Educational Opportunity Program is committed to excellence and seeks students who are truly motivated and willing to work hard to achieve their goals. Eligible students for the EOP program are students who are: Students who are residents of New York State; Students who have a high school diploma or its equivalent; Students who do not meet the regular admissions requirements of SUNY Farmingdale, but fall within the range of EOP standards and demonstrate academic potential; Students who are historically disadvantaged and meet the economic guidelines of eligibility as established by the Office of Special Programs in Albany and Students of all ethnic origins, if the above requirements are met, and meet the 2023-24 Income Guidelines specified. Chautauqua Striders Tutoring

Offers tutoring programs at a number of locations. On-Track Tutoring: Available for small group (1:5 ratio) or one-to-one tutoring to any student or any grade in Chautauqua County. SAFARI Program: Available to students at Jamestown High School at no cost to families. Students can schedule small group and one-to-one tutoring sessions during their school day. 21st Century/After School Program: Tutors in this program provide in-person academic interventions to students in the Jamestown district, grades K-8 at Love, Ring, Bush, Lincoln, and Fletcher Elementary Schools and Washington and Jefferson Middle Schools. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP): Run through Jamestown Community College, this program prepares high school students to succeed in post-secondary education or training. The program helps the class of 2028 Jamestown and Dunkirk students into their first year of college. Services include free tutoring services during and after school, assistance explore personalized college and career possibilities and applying for financial aid. SAT and Regents Prep available depending on enrollment needs. Striders tutors are also available at the Boys & Girls Club after school program, Monday-Thursday.

MOLLOY OPPORTUNITY FOR SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION (MOST) PROGRAM | MOLLOY UNIVERSITY CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

In collaboration with The Mary Quinn's Mark Foundation the MOST Program provides individuals with developmental disabilities opportunities to identify and develop the social and academic skills required to successfully transition into a meaningful and engaged adult life while participating in a fully inclusive college experience. Beyond their classrooms, students are encouraged to explore and utilize campus facilities and join campus activities based on their individual areas of talents and interests. The MOST Program is a three- year college experience program. Students in years one and two are considered MOST Program students while students who have transitioned into year three are considered Capstone: Connect to Community Program students. Students in all three years attend classes and participate in extracurricular activities on the Molloy University campus. EMPIRE STATE OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM | SUNY EMPIRE STATE COLLEGE AT SELDEN

Provide access, academic support, and/or financial assistance to underserved students who show promise for college success. We serve students at all stages of life and learning, full or part time. SUNY Empire offers three opportunity programs: SUNY Educational Opportunity Program (EOP): A program for full-time, first-time freshmen and full-time opportunity program transfer students; Empire State Opportunity Program (ESOP): A program for full-time and part-time transfer students; Empire Promise Program (EPP): A program for first-time freshmen, continuing students, and transfer students and SUNY Empire also supports SUNY’s Foster Youth College Success Initiative (FYCSI), a state-funded program that connects youth in foster care, eligible orphans, or wards of the court who are accepted into SUNY’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) with academic support services and financial assistance to help enroll in, pay for, and successfully complete college. LIBERTY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM | EASTERN CAMPUS

Represents a cooperative effort between the Suffolk County Community College and the Longwood Central School District, governmental agencies and business and industry to provide a unique, comprehensive and supportive environment for students for students who may be at risk of dropping out of school. LPP is funded by a grant from the New York State Education Department. The Liberty Partnerships Program serves those students in grades 7-12 who may not be reaching their academic potential by providing academic services that will improve their ability to complete high school and successfully enter postsecondary education or the workforce. LPP students who are juniors and seniors are also eligible to enroll in a two-semester program that leads successful students to one college credit upon completion. This offering contains a one-semester non-credit course that focuses on reading, writing, study skills, critical thinking and computer skills. The second semester course exposes students to topics of interest to college students and enhances their basic research skills. Additional credit-bearing courses are offered to students who successfully complete this sequence. LPP Program Services include: College preparatory coursework; Suffolk County Community College Seminar (leads to 1.0 college credits); LPP club and newsletter; Team building experiences; Cultural enrichment activities and field trips; Counseling; Tutoring and college placement test; ACT/SAT preparation classes; Regents review sessions; Student and parent leadership sessions and Workforce preparation which includes visits to and internships with business, industry and local colleges. HEMSTEAD LADDERS TO SUCCESS | MAIN STREET HEMPSTEAD LOCATION

Ladders to Success, located at FCA's Learning Center, will prepare identified High School students in Mathematics, Algebra, Reading and English to attain the placement test scores they need to avoid remedial classes and immediately access credit-bearing classes at Nassau Community College and beyond. Services include Mentoring and counseling, tutoring to prepare for the accuplacer test, career readiness and vocational planning services, financial aid and FAFSA application assistance, guidance throughout the college application process from start to finish. Experience support, connection, and opportunity as part of the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), which is offered at NYIT-New York City. Sponsored jointly with the state of New York, Arthur O. Eve HEOP allows NYIT to achieve its mission of providing educational opportunity to all qualified students. We assist students who may have financial and academic hardship and would otherwise be unable to earn a college degree. Depending on your needs and circumstances, we may offer financial assistance for tuition, books, transportation, and some personal expenses.
