Offers a certificate program, where you will be introduced to this exciting new era of healthcare. You’ll learn about the latest trends in digital health, such as the role of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and robotics, data visualization and virtual and augmented reality, smart healthcare platforms, m-health, and telemedicine and you’ll learn new skills through hands-on, interactive exercises. Please note this workshop is part of an online, asynchronous workshop, meaning it takes place online, on your own time. There are no live meetings, either in person or online. You can view and complete assignments on your own time to fit into your busy schedule. However, you will need to commit six hours each week to complete each workshop and hands-on skills training assignments. You will interact with your fellow students and your instructor via weekly collaborative discussion forums and submit interactive Panopto videos. Offers a Yoga Alliance Approved 200-Hour Teacher Training course. This 200-hour course is offered in two parts, over two semesters. This program includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation, and other traditional yoga techniques. This course will be comprised of analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques and guided practice of these techniques. This is a Yoga Alliance approved yoga course. Meetings will be once a week during the week and one weekend a month; a meeting calendar will be distributed at the first meeting. Students will learn the skills necessary to successfully pass the Radiologic Technology Registry Exam. This nationally recognized certification from the ARRT demonstrates that you have the knowledge necessary to work anywhere in the United States. Through the Radiologic Technology program at Western Suffolk BOCES, you will receive training in modern diagnostic radiography. Offers the Automotive Technical Training program. Western Suffolk BOCES is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation. Upon successful completion of this full-time program at Western Suffolk BOCES’ Northport campus, you will have acquired the skills needed to work in an auto dealership, auto repair shop or similar setting as an entry-level automotive technician. Offers a Fast-Track 7-hour course for those contractors and experienced operators who have experience as a heavy equipment operator and are not certified. Nassau BOCES has partnered with The LEARN Center to offer a solution that will protect you or your business from OSHA/NYC DOB safety violations. New laws and regulations are requiring that operating engineers be certified in the safe operation of heavy equipment. Certification is available on the backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, front-end loader and skid-steer. This 7-hour evaluation course consists of a 4-hour safety class and evaluation of the operator skills through practical exams for up to 3-hours.
