Assists youth and adults to succeed in the workforce by encouraging self-sufficiency, familiarizing them with the world of work, facilitating the creation of job opportunities, and providing services related to these activities. Vocational rehabilitation provides HSED (formerly GED), career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations residing 20 miles of all Seneca Nation territories who have a documented disability. Tribal 477 provides HSED (formerly GED), training, career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations (and children of an enrolled Seneca father) residing 25 miles of the Cattaraugus, Allegany and Oil Springs territories.

Provides after-school academic assistance designed to meet the specific needs of elementary school students from refugee families, with an emphasis on reading, writing, and speaking English. Offers one-on-one homework help and tutoring in reading and math, along with educational and recreational activities, field trips, and opportunities to socialize with friends. A project-based learning curriculum provides a structured atmosphere, allowing for positive enforcement of pro-social behaviors. Book clubs work at each student's ability level to increase their comfort with and love of reading. Also offers a 6-week summer program.

Provides one-on-one reading and ESL instruction to adults. Instruction provided by volunteer tutors who have been trained at a literacy volunteer tutor workshop. Instruction is provided in public location 2 hours/week at a time convenient to student and tutor.

Provides career counseling, career and technical education (day or evening), and adult literacy instruction, including high school equivalency (HSE) preparation and HSE testing. Career and technical education includes medical programs, and training in the following career roles: Practical Nurse, Nurse Aide, Phlebotomist, Dental Assistant, Machinist, Welder, Heavy Equipment Operator, etc.

Provides speech, language, and hearing evaluation and treatment to children and adults. Also dispenses hearing aids. Special programs include ESL groups, aphasia therapy, intensive summer camp, and Tinnitus evaluation, treatment, and therapy.

Offers programs that will help you launch your professional aviation career at Western Suffolk BOCES whose school of Aviation Maintenance Technology is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. BOCES has helped prepare students to become FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant technicians. This 1,910-hour AMT program is located at Wilson Tech’s Republic Airport campus in Farmingdale, NY. BOCES offers small classes, state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled and experienced instructors. Those who satisfactorily complete this AMT school are eligible to take the FAA exams that lead to FAA licenses in Airframe and Powerplant.
