Provides outreach for individuals who are primary or secondary victims of serious crimes such as domestic violence, sexual assault, homicide, manslaughter, DUI/DWI with injuries, assault with injuries, elder abuse or neglect, arson, burglary, robbery, human trafficking, hate crime, mass violence, financial crimes for victims over 60, vehicular victimization, home invasions, and critical incidents.

Can assist with New York State Office of Victim Services Program and confidentiality applications for the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP).

The Senior Crime Victims Program provides assistance and support to older victims of crime: physical, sexual and emotional abuse, financial exploitation, fraud, neglect and abandonment. Develops and presents educational programming to community groups on senior crime issues, and provides information and referrals to appropriate local agencies. Assists in filing application claims with the New York State Crime Victims Compensation Board. Provides short term counseling, legal advocacy, and prevention and community education.
Provides substantial financial relief to victims of crime and their families by paying unreimbursed crime-related expenses, including but not limited to: medical and burial expenses, loss of earnings or support, counseling costs, crime scene clean-up expenses, the cost to repair or replace items of essential personal property, reasonable court transportation expenses, assistance to crime victims acting as a good Samaritan, the cost of residing at or utilizing the services of a domestic violence shelter, and limited attorney fees.
* Offers crisis counseling for all victims of domestic violence. Hotlines for victims, concerned family, friends, and the general community in domestic violence situations or know someone who is. * Offers a shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. No maximum number of children that may be brought into the shelter; if number exceeds beds available, other arrangements will be made. If no beds available, other arrangements can be made. Can provide services for male victims of domestic violence and their children. Collect calls accepted. * Provides advocacy for out-of-county emergency shelter support. * Offers support groups for victims of domestic violence. * Offers Court Advocacy: Court accompaniment with on-site advocate at family court. Help with securing orders of protection. Legal representation. * Personal advocacy to obtain needed services. * Emotional and Transitional Support Services. Anyone who wants notification of an inmate release can use a touch-tone phone to get information about inmates in the Department's custody and register for notification of the offender's release, escape, death, and/or participation in a furlough or temporary release (work release) program. Notification will not be provided when an inmate transfers from one state Correctional Facility to a different state Correctional Facility.
