Provides crisis intervention and support services to victims of violent crime. Links victims of crime to reimbursement for medical and essential property loss expenses. Offers individual and group counseling, legal and medical information, criminal justice advocacy including medical and courtroom accompaniment and post sentencing support. Also provides educational advocacy for minors, victims impact statement and VINE registration. Provides support and services to all innocent victims of crime, including but not limited to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, assault, menacing, robbery, burglary, kidnapping and other victims of violent crime, including survivors of homicide. and gang violence. CRIME VICTIMS CENTER CVC - PARENTS FOR MEGAN'S LAW

Mission is to prevent and treat sexual abuse through education, advocacy, counseling, policy and legislative support services. Promotes the use of information and resources made available under Megan's Law, the New York State Sex Offender Registration Act of 1996. Staffs a national Megan's Law Helpline, as well as the Suffolk County Crime Victims Center. The Advocacy and Counseling programs are now offered at a second site at 83 East Main Street, Patchogue.
