Offers prevention based programs and services in an individual or group setting to local school districts. Programming includes, behavior management, attendance issues, bullying prevention and intervention, mentoring, peer mediation, aggression reduction, drug and alcohol prevention, leadership, and resiliency skill building.

Provides one of the most vital units throughout the Sheriff’s office. Throughout the year, Community Relations Unit visits each Suffolk County School District as well as multiple clubs and various organizations. Its main goal is to bridge the gap between Law Enforcement and the members of the Community. A DBT Booster Group focusing on friendships, conflict-resolution, bullying, self-esteem, and coping and communication skills. Male groups can be formed if there is enough interest.

Provide direct support and solutions to parents, adolescents, and educators who seek advice on how to best resolve a bullying situation. Individual assistance will be available for adolescents who have been targeted/bullied, who have targeted/bullied others, and/or are anxious or depressed from involvement in bullying situations.

Offers training, speaking presentations and consultation services aimed to solve various problems and relieve tensions through improving communication for a variety of environments including universities, elementary through high school, social service agencies, families and businesses. The Anti-Bullying Initiative is designed to raise awareness, prevent and reduce bullying. It provides youth with opportunities to learn about bullying and how to respond to prevent and decrease bullying in their schools.

Provides a puppet performances for pre-K school children that promotes mental health, prevent substance abuse, address gang involvement and teach conflict resolution.

Offers seminars of education and awareness to the general public, professionals, and community groups on various mental health topics, such as bullying, alcohol/drug addiction, like skills training, adolescent issues, and more.

Four-session program for elementary school students that introduces peer pressure and refusal skills. Students learn valuable decision making skills and how to say no when being pressured to partake in negative behavior. Students are also taught cyber safety and how to be a good digital citizen.

PATHS offers individual and small group discussions for elementary-aged children dealing with issues of divorce, loss, substance abuse, and bullying.

Provides a one-hour workshop for 7th-8th grade girls on preventing relational aggression. Schools may call to request special scheduling of this workshop.

Offers an experiential learning, bullying prevention program where students are given opportunities to diffuse situations, create new skills using positive behaviors and work together to create a cohesive community.

Promotes non-violent conflict resolution techniques to educators, parents and young people workshops on restorative practices, conflict resolution concepts, communication, affirmation, mediation, bullying prevention and intervention, creative problem solving, bias awareness, social emotional learning and mediation services.

Offers children in first and second-grade important personal safety lessons while getting them actively involved in the learning process. The McGruff Program seeks to give children the social tools they need to recognize bullying behavior, prevent it from occurring and handle it effectively when confronted with a tough situation whether on the playground, the bus, the lunchroom or playing in the neighborhood. Offers two and three-session workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students in classroom settings across Long Island at no cost. Programs include child abuse prevention, bully prevention, relational aggression, sexual harassment, date rape and Internet safety.

Attempts to educate the public about domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and bullying.

Teaches students to be more socially inclusive and connected to each other. An interactive program that consists of 7-10 lessons taught once a week by prevention educators. It focuses on developing personal and interpersonal skills to resist pressures to use drugs and engage in negative behaviors. Skills include: goal setting, decision-making, bonding with others, identifying and managing emotions, and communicating effectively.
