Provides crisis prevention and response services to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or complex behavioral/mental health needs, their families and caregivers with the goal of enabling individuals to remain in their home or community. Offers needs assessment develops and individualized crisis plan, recommends preventive and coping strategies for families/caregivers and provides referrals to appropriate agencies. Provides short-term therapeutic in-home supports, therapeutic emergency and planned Resource Center services for enrolled individuals. Provides consultation, training and technical assistance to community partners and organizations.

Provides an inpatient psychiatry program for elementary-age students enabling them to continue their education while undergoing psychiatric treatment. Students are referred through parent or school referrals and admits youngsters, after thorough evaluation by social worker, psychologists and physicians. The length of stay ranges from 1-12 weeks, during which time a full academic curriculum is provided by Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
