Provides an intensive outpatient program for women and women with children that offers medically supervised services within a safe, supportive, gender-specific environment. Licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS).

Works to reduce gang violence and promote a variety of opportunities and other competencies that give the youth in the local community alternatives to a violent life on the street.Provides a wide array of services for youth already involved in the criminal system including case management, social work services, counseling, and Moral Reconation Therapy. Also provides community based and school based prevention services to youth at risk for engaging in criminal.

Site Based Programs match volunteer mentors to children in need of a positive role model. Matches meet on-site in a supervised setting and are professionally supported by a program team member throughout the duration of the program. Matches meet regularly, where Bigs provide homework assistance, friendship and model positive behavior. Programs can include college mentoring, high school mentoring and workplace mentoring.

Offers school-based one-on-one mentoring. The mentor program trains mentors, mentees, and school staff. Mentors and mentees meet at the student's school with the support and supervision of a site coordinator.

Provides volunteer support and guidance, to women during and after pregnancy. Recruits, trains and links volunteers to pregnant women in need of support and provides on-going follow-ups.

Provides services to prevent out of home placement for children whose families are referred by Nassau County DSS.. Outreach services include assessment of family concerns, intensive counseling, clinical services including individual and family therapy, referral to other necessary agencies, advocacy, parent education/groups, social/educational activities for the whole family.

Provides adults with a psychiatric disability ages 18 and over with a single room in a community residence that offers varying levels of supervision and assistance.

Serves boys, ages 10-17, who suffer serious emotional disturbance. Offers a highly structured, treatment oriented, cost effective alternative to placement in a psychiatric hospital. Located in McKeown House on the Syosset campus.

Provides prevention and youth development programs, education and referral to general youth populations, as well as those identified as high risk.

Provides brief crisis intervention, short-term counseling, mediation, advocacy and/or referral for youth who are runaways or homeless or at risk of becoming runaways due to family conflicts. Referral to emergency shelter or group homes.

Offers children in need the friendship and guidance of caring adult volunteers. Provides academic tutoring, athletics programs, arts and crafts, and vocational instruction. Requests adult volunteer commit for at least four hours per month, weekly or bi-weekly.

Provides 24 hour crisis intervention and referrals for youth-at-risk through telephone switchboards, as well as advocacy and educational services. Assists with conference calls and message delivery to parents of runaways, and to shelters and other agencies to confirm appropriate and available services.

Conducts professional intake, assessment, and appropriate referrals for the poor, isolated, disadvantaged, and vulnerable on Long Island.

Provides academic tutoring, social/life skill training, mentoring and prevention workshops for students that are referred by their school district due to behavior problems, truancy, and/or substance abuse.

Provides full day outdoor programs of hiking and wilderness challenges for at risk adolescents. Groups travel by van to State and County Parks. Call for further information.

Provides on-site care for youth in need of short and long term care. Our child care staff provide 24 hour supervision of our youth, assisting in areas such as daily living. In this division, youth are offered a multitude of services such as mental health, medical care, independent living skills, employment and recreation so they can either return to their families or maintain self-sufficiency in the community Call for more detailed information.

Encourages youth to establish a good work ethic through employment and workshops. Promotes punctuality, teamwork, how to follow rules and regulations, as well as respect of self, co-workers and supervisors. At- risk youth are selected between the ages of 14-18. Interviews are held in May and orientation in June. Employment is seven weeks, Monday-Friday. Worksites are established within the community at local churches, schools, agencies, parks and beaches. Workshops are given throughout the program in areas such as Banking, Job Attitudes, Career Goals, Job Interviewing and Resume Writing. Provides housing relocation, ongoing case management, support services and advocacy for homeless and temporarily displaced families with children living in emergency housing within Suffolk County. Call for further information.

Provides HIV treatment and care information, free of charge, to people living with HIV, their providers and support networks. Staffed by highly trained volunteers to answer questions about living healthfully with HIV. The InfoLine is a call-back service only. Messages must be left and will be returned.

Provides home visiting case management to at risk youth and works to prevent further involvement in the juvenile justice system. Services include, but are not limited to, informal counseling, including parenting, 1:1 anger management, school advocacy, tutoring, substance abuse, counseling and recreational programs. Services are offered in both English and Spanish.

Presents a series of workshops that motivate, educate and empower both adults and youth on the importance of reducing gang violence. Focuses on topics such as prevention/intervention, perils of gang life, decision making and gang awareness among others. Presents workshops for groups, schools and organizations. Family Court Act - tries to keep situations out of court. Probation Officers process and investigate youths who have been in trouble by being truant from school, runaway or incorrigible who require supervision. Works with client and family to resolve the situation by mentoring, guidance or will refer to out side counselling. Parent or legal guardian can refer youths to the PINS program.

Provides three 1-hour open dialog counseling sessions with a trained Prevention Specialist. Encourages participants to look at their own strengths in making positive choices, and gives personalized feedback designed to help the adolescent cope with issues leading to negative behavior.
