Provides home based/center based program for children from birth to 36 months who have an identified developmental disability, including speech delay, pervasive developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, and physical disabilities. Services includes speech/language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work services, parent/child groups, family/caregiver support groups, parent training, family counseling, and on going service coordination. Provides instruction for adults with developmental disabilities and autism and other severe behavioral impairments in areas including: use of community resources, communication and socialization, health care, vocational education, personal adjustment and independent living skills, and leisure activities. Other services include crisis intervention for families, pre-vocational services, supported employment, respite and recreational programs. Year round.

Provides habilitation services within a person's private home or apartment. Hours provided by staff vary based on a person's needs. The main goal of this program is to increase independence while providing support to the person and the family. People are encouraged to strive to live independently in the community with minimal staff support.

Provides respite care, information and referral, crisis intervention, case management, day program placement, residential placement, aging out services, and advocacy to the developmentally disabled ages 3 and up and their families.

Provides and opportunity for seniors to serve as companions to developmentally disabled adults ages 21 and older. Offers a small stipend for low income seniors who act as role models and advocates Seniors must have a medical release, be free from critical illness, have a tuberculin test and must be low income.

Provides the following: information on the relationship of food additives on a person's behavior, learning and health, dietary program for the attention deficit, autistic, pervasive developmental delay and chemically sensitive individual and written materials that help determine and avoid salicylates in foods, medications and other areas. Offers a residential program for children with autism spectrum disorder ,and/or multiple disabilities to include autism that incorporates Applied Behavioral Analysis teaching methods and positive behavior supports. Programming focuses on life skills recreation and leisure skills, household living; with opportunities for participation in Special Olympics Events. Housing placement is based on age and level of functioning. Family outings day and home visits are encouraged.

Provides families, educators, early interventionists, medical professionals, employers, and the community at large with resources to support individuals with disabilities, enabling them to become active members of their communities and meet their full potential in all aspects of life. Residential Program offers a complete array of specialized services designed to enrich the lives of adults with autism. This unique program supports our adults' continued development and growth toward the achievement of a well-rounded lifestyle and integration into the community, each resident is an individual person and we are dedicated to developing their interests and skills to their full potential. Residents are with a diverse selection of Presented recreational and community involvement opportunities including, shopping, hobbies, arts, and Special Olympics.

Provides evaluation and training for disabled adults (ages 16+) in the areas of kitchen services, porter/maintenance services, assembly/packaging services, warehouse training and clerical training. Also offers vocational and placement counseling, remediation services, and alcohol and drug abuse counseling.

Offers ongoing support groups and individual counseling for parents and children in the following areas: developmental milestones, physical and mental development of infants, cognitive, social and emotional development, language development, temperament and personality power struggles and discipline, negativism, sibling rivalry, individuality, toilet training, divorce, bereavement, hyperactivity (ADHD) and oppositional defiant behavior.

Provides evaluations for individuals with a developmental disability for determination of competitive or supported employment to include job training.

Provides dances, basketball leagues and computer classes for special needs children of Nassau County.

Offering children and young adults with a disability the opportunity to play ice hockey.

Provides treatment of adolescents with bio-behavior problems (such as drug abuse, attention deficit disorder, non-compliance with chronic illness care, depression/suicidal ideation). Evaluation, counseling and coordination with mental health services are provided.

Provides individuals who suffered a neurological injury/illness and their family members information,education and support to assist in coping with the challenges that arise as a result of their illness and promote wellness. Catholic Charities operates group homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities that encourage each resident to grow in their functioning and to participate in their communities. As able, residents participate in day programs and workshops, engage in social and recreational activities in the community, have household chores, and run errands. Some even maintain competitive employment. Residential services are provided in 13 residences serving 107 people in communities throughout Long Island including: Amityville (two residences, one for developmentally disabled adults with Alzheimer's disease/dementia) Aquebogue, Babylon Village, Copiague, Elmont, Hampton Bays, Huntington Station, Manhasset (for Developmentally disabled deaf adults) Southhold, Valley Stream, West Babylon (two residences)

Provides community based habilitation to developmentally disabled individuals, ages 21 and over who reside in Suffolk/Eastern Nassau with their families. This program operates in and out of the individual's home, and can provide support in the morning, afternoon, evening or weekend.

Our LifeLong Learning centers offer day programs for adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. These programs focus on building a wide-array of skills in the areas of pre-vocational, vocational, communication, and social skills. Individuals are offered opportunities of community involvement through volunteer training programs and volunteer placements with small, local businesses.
