Offers children in need the friendship and guidance of caring adult volunteers. Provides academic tutoring, athletics programs, arts and crafts, and vocational instruction. Requests adult volunteer commit for at least four hours per month, weekly or bi-weekly.

Seeks to promote the physical, mental and social well being of youth in the town of Southold. Through collaboration and partnerships with youth, parents, schools, libraries, forth based institutions and agencies that serve youth. The Youth Bureau fosters proactive planning and coordination of services and programs to address the many needs of youth and their families.

Conducts two camp programs, regular camp for boys 7-11 years old and advanced camp for boys 12-15 years old. Camp provides instruction and practice aided by high-tech equipment. Provides residential services to developmentally disabled individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. These homes are located on both the main campus in Smithtown and DDI's Huntington Campus. Children in residence attend Developmental Disabilities Institute Day School and then return to their residence where supervised recreation and daily living activities continue.

Offers workshop for children ages 5-8 and 9-12 (parents included). This program provides education and support to families. Topics include building healthy friendships, communication skills, understanding and expressing feelings, dealing with teasing and bullies, and more. Discussion groups, creative arts, games and hands-on activities are utilized to increase understanding and strengthen social skills. The Parent Component offers support and guidance to parents, and provides practical skills for helping their child in a variety of situations. The Parent Component meets at the same time the children's program runs.

Provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary outpatient program for children and adolescents with asthma. The team includes sub-specialists in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and Allergy/Immunology. Treatment includes pulmonary function testing, complete allergy testing and treatment. At the Asthma Learning Center patients and families can learn about asthma through reading, watching videos or playing interactive games

Offers youth programs such as bus trips to sporting events and amusement parks, aerobics, bicycle safety, golf lessons, horseback riding, playground program, salt water fishing, and tennis lessons. Will make referrals to other community youth activities.

Provides opportunity for six teens with developmental disabilities to participate in existing Counselor In Training program at Great South Junior Travel Camp.
