Provides technical assistance, information and referral, and consultation to community organizations, public officials, the media, and others concerned with affordable housing and issues affecting access and equity. Supports the development of safe, low-cost housing in mixed-income, integrated neighborhoods and downtowns throughout Long Island. THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDES NO DIRECT CLIENT SERVICES OR INDIVIDUAL REFERRALS.

Provides educational resources, technical assistance and training to law-enforcement agencies or other professionals who work in the prevention, investigation, prosecution, and treatment of cases involving missing and exploited children.

Provides assistance to Child Care Providers by helping them develop their Health Care Plans that describe how they will meet the requirements and standards set by New York State with regards to health policies and medication. After preparation of the Health Care Plan, a site visit is made to ensure compliance with the plan and to verify administration in their program. Health Services is presently made up of two Registered Nurses (RNs) who are Health Care Consultants. Both are trained as Medication Administration Training (MAT) instructors and provide the 8 hour required program at Child Care Council of Nassau.The department actively develops, prepares and presents educational programs for child care providers, both at the Child Care Council of Nassau and at individual programs. The Health Care Consultants field many technical assistance phone calls and act as a source of information and guidance in caring for the health needs of all children in child care. Monitors regulatory compliance by service providers within the district. CODI is committed to fostering entrepreneurship and small business growth by providing training, technical assistance, and access to loan capital—particularly for microenterprises that are unable to obtain traditional financing. Our clients often face significant barriers such as limited credit history, insufficient collateral, or a lack of business experience. CODI addresses these challenges through robust technical assistance, including: - Business Loans and Lines of Credit to new and existing businesses to help with equipment, inventory and operating expenses. CODI offers both Micro (up to $5,000) and Term ($5,000 - $50,000) products. - Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP) grants up to $25,000 to businesses in partnership with the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth. - Business of the Week promotional social media posts to increase local businesses awareness at no cost. - A 14-hour Small Business Essentials training course that covers Basic Business Structure, Internet Business Basics, Defining Your Customer, Target Marketing, Finances and Bookkeeping. - CODI’s Home Appliance Loan Program provides consumers with affordable financing terms as an alternative to predatory rent-to-own establishments. Offers a wide range of technical, business and manufacturing assistance to help a company grow. These can include process and business improvements, operational improvements, sales and marketing assistance, technology and entrepreneurial assistance, and workforce development.

Provides advocacy, referral services, daily living skills and mobility training, low vision exams, and education on available financial and living aid assistance.

Instituted at request of school superintendents to develop surveys on specific subjects to aid districts in future planning.

Provides education and information through seminars, informal meetings, discussion groups, and individuals consultations on the most up to date management practices, product marketing, value added products, and business development for livestock operations.

Focuses on creating asset development opportunities for both residents and entrepreneurs. Assists individuals in growing and investing in their communities by providing lending capital, training, consulting, technical assistance, seminars, workshops, and low-cost business rental space to new and existing businesses that would otherwise lack access to these services. Assists area residents in developing asset based thinking by providing financial literacy training, basic budgeting, and home appliance loans to combat predatory lenders. Loan programs and Cottage Industry Assistance Program target low to moderate income existing and prospective individuals. Chautauqua Microenterprise Loan Fund and the Women and Minority Microenterprise Loan Fund Programs help small businesses by providing small business start up and expansion loans. The small business incubator offers small businesses an opportunity to grow and stabilize with subsidies around rent, business services, and technical assistance. Program site serves as a Warming Center during times of excessive cold and as a Cooling Center during times of excessive heat. Always call ahead to make sure a Warming/Cooling Center is open before going there.

Provides a range of resources to help parents needing child care, people who want to start or are currently running child care programs, and anyone with a concern about the health or safety of a child in a day care program. Monitors and provides technical assistance to child care providers. Oversight is aimed at the provision of safe quality services.
