Sickle Cell and Hemoglobinopathy Center of WNY - OCH

Provides medical care, education, counseling, and support for children and adolescents with sickle cell disease, thalassemia and other hemoglobin disorders. Exists within the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, which is part of the Department of Pediatrics and is affiliated with the SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Fosters and preserves active and open avenues of communication between the Department and the diverse communities which it serves. HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAM | WESTCHESTER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (WCDOH) - WHITE PLAINS ADMINISTRATION DIVISION

An outreach program to help improve and maintain personal health and environmental living conditions. The goal of the program is to promote healthy neighborhoods by keeping residents aware of the variety of medical, social and environmental services available to them locally. Outreach staff visit residents, at the residents request, an inspection of their home is also performed to be sure that no environmental health hazards or problems exist. If environmental health hazards or problems do exist, our staff will direct them to the agency best able to help.
