Provides a domestic violence program which helps victims with counseling, advocacy, referral to shelters and other services or resources, lock replacement, and assistance with NYS Office of Victim Services Compensation.

The Senior Outreach Program helps to meet the diverse needs of the aging population, sixty and over. Senior Outreach Workers provide information about programs, benefits, and services that may be available to seniors in our community. Our Senior Outreach Workers are also available to help fill out paperwork or applications for programs. They serve as advocates when seniors are having problems with social security, food stamps, Medicaid, health insurance, and more.

Provides HIV treatment and care information, free of charge, to people living with HIV, their providers and support networks. Staffed by highly trained volunteers to answer questions about living healthfully with HIV. The InfoLine is a call-back service only. Messages must be left and will be returned.

Acts as a one-stop information resource for disabled persons. Appropriate referrals will be made to public and private agencies. Maintains a computerized system with demographical and clinical profiles of developmental disabilities in order to improve planning, referrals, service acquisition and information dissemination along with service coordination through a single-entry access to home and community-based service programs.

Offers information and referral services for affected individuals and their families, as well as for doctors and eye care professionals. Also provides comprehensive information kits on retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and usher syndrome. The newsletter, InFocus and the e-newsletter, InFocus Online, present articles on coping, research updates and Foundation news, and is sent out 3 times a year. There is also an annual conference.

Information and referral to individuals, caregivers, agencies and businesses with disability issues. Information on legal compliance with disability laws and regulations.

Provides support and education for families, individuals, and professionals affected by Asperger Syndrome, High Functioning Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders through support programs, website, a mailing list and a newsletter. Helps people with Asperger's or similar autism spectrum and neurodiverse profiles build meaningful, connected lives. Provides individuals, families, and professionals with information, education, community, support, and advocacy — all in an inclusive atmosphere of validation and respect.

Provides two-hour group training sessions to families who have children who meet HCBS waiver eligibility requirements under age 18. Topics vary and are geared toward families who have children with developmental disabilities. Call for more information.

Provides information and referrals to the various mental health services and resources in the county, including access to numerous videos, written material, and research on mental health topics.

Provides outreach, education, and advocacy to farmworker women who are victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence, Stalking, and Dating Violence. Also works to enhance improve access to services for farmworker victims who face numerous obstacles when accessing currently available services and resources, shelter and non-shelter services alike for domestic violence issues.

Offers help with errands, paperwork and de-cluttering management, computer/electronic technology services, household tasks, garden help, pet or plant care, and light home maintenance. Also provides consultation if more daily living care is necessary, along with referrals to resources in the community that may be needed.

Offers seniors help with filling out forms, advocacy services, information and referral for a multitude of issues.

Provides services for children, youth, adults and seniors, such as drinking driver program, educational and counseling services, Nursing Home Transition and Diversion Program (NHTD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), as well as a variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Coordinates a statewide effort to identify and develop resources for families in which a parent has a diagnosed mental illness. Seeks to increase awareness of the strengths and needs of parents with psychiatric disabilities, train mental health services providers in treatment issues, publicizing and dissemination materials and identify service gaps: advocating for these families. Identifies and links existing and evolving programs and parents, and facilitates the creation of new services.

Provides information and advisory services on all aspects of blindness, awards annual scholarships to outstanding blind post-secondary students in academic, professional and technical training programs, advocates on behalf of people who are blind or visually impaired, produces public service announcements promoting the independence, dignity and advancement of all people with impaired vision and provides legal advice and assistances on the rights, services and benefits available to blind people.

Provides information and referrals for eligible veterans and their families about benefit programs, education, employment, financial assistance, disability-related issues and other resources. Also helps with insurance, disability, and pension benefits.

Provides support services for families caring for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness and emotional support (e.g., home/hospital visits, education about applying for government or other programs, holiday and back-to-school gift programs, sibling support specialists), financial assistance (e.g., travel reimbursement, hospital lodging, co-payment for illness-related expenses, basic living expenses assistance), advocacy action (e.g., with hospital staff, insurance providers, schools, etc.)

Provides information in various formats, including online resources, along with references to doctors, hospitals, medications and pharmaceutical companies working with MG patients.

Toll-free Information and Referral Line serves hundreds of family members and service providers each year. Staff has access to extensive resources across New York State to provide individuals with the information they need. Staff provides technical assistance to families, advocates, service providers and policymakers. Offers education and public awareness about AIDS/HIV and sexually transmitted disease, designed specifically for teenagers and young adults, also give information and referrals to resources such as HIV testing and counseling.

The program provides information about resources for respite care or day care providers and recreational activities for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Also offers reimbursement and assistance in finding respite or daycare.

MICHC will provide education, outreach, home visitation, referrals and follow-up to improve the general health and well-being of women and infants, with a focus on family planning and self-sufficiency. The program will engage women and link families to health and other supportive services in the targeted communities of Newburgh, Middletown and Port Jervis.
