The Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) oversees one of the nation's largest Substance Use Disorder systems of care in New York State with more than 1,600 prevention, treatment and recovery programs serving over 680,000 individuals per year. This includes the direct operation of 12 Addiction Treatment Centers where our doctors, nurses, and clinical staff provide inpatient and residential services to approximately 8,000 individuals per year. Provides a variety of services related to the state's Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code. In close coordination with community officials, DCEA oversees the enforcement practices of local governments in matters pertaining to building construction, fire prevention and energy conservation.
