COVID-19 UPDATE 4/1In partnership with The Food Bank of the Southern Tier and GIAC, Cornell University will host an emergency Community Food Pantry on the basketball court at GIAC, 301 West Court Street beginning this week. It is open to the Ithaca community, Tuesdays/Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (There are two basketball courts, and it is not on the one next to the pool). 7/29: The last day of the GIAC pantry is 8/6/2020 as per Karen Brown.Multicultural, educational and recreational programs for social and individual development for all ages, particularly youth and teens, including services to: improve quality of life advocate for youth, families and underrepresented or disenfranchised populations provide structured employment training opportunities for at-risk youth and adults fight against oppression and intimidation in the community
Provides a variety of programs designed to provide support and socialization opportunities for seniors living independently. Programs include health and wellness workshops and speakers, one-on-one counseling and advocacy, caregiver supports, lifeline, housecleaning, and field trips. Socialization based groups include quilting, walking, computer classes, grief and loss groups. Provides food delivery to residents of Mechanicville Public Housing.

Provides a nutritious and complete lunch and offers regularly scheduled nutrition health presentations, social programs, classes, activities, and outings.
Provides daily recreational opportunities for local youth ages 7 to 15 years, from a number of city neighborhoods. Drop-in recreation is free of charge and includes a variety of fun, engaging activities. Some programs may have limited space and may required advanced registration.

Also offers programming at the Butternut Policing Center at Schiller Park, an after school program at Edward Smith School, the Northeast Community Center, and the Southwest Community Center.
Works with agencies to bring services to rural area. Center for information and application to Food Stamps, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, EPIC, HEAP, and Access to Independence (services for persons with handicaps), Office of the Aging and Family Counseling of Cortland.
