The New York State Smokers Quitline provides evidence-based smoking cessation assistance services to New York State residents who want to stop smoking or using other forms of tobacco.

Provides state of the art program specifically designed for teenagers who want to stop smoking.

Offers Abortion Care, Birth Control, Breast Exams, Colposcopy, Emergency Contraception, GYN Care, Gender Affirming Hormone Care, Health Counseling, HIV testing, Counseling and Education, HIV Prevention (PrEP), HPV Vaccine, Pap Tests, Pregnancy Testing and Options Counseling, Smoking Cessation, STD testing and treatment. Planned Parenthood health centers support and welcome patients of all gender identities and sexual orientations, and offer care regardless of citizenship status.

Conducts numerous programs for the community, school and public organizations throughout Suffolk County, and operates the Suffolk County Tobacco Enforcement Program. The greatest benefit from prevention and education programs is reaped when Suffolk residents make choices in favor of healthy living. Improving health behaviors is beneficial at every age. Staff works with other agencies to design programming and provide education in Suffolk County communities in an effort to prevent disease, disability and premature death. In particular, we are working to reduce behaviors that lead to the development of co-morbidities such as cancer, diabetes obesity and smoking/vaping. Offers individuals who are trying to stop smoking an intensive 5 week stop-smoking class focusing on behavior changes and medication use. Group or individual quit programs are available. Please call for exact dates and times.

Learn stress management techniques, behavior modification, relaxation techniques and some of the skills needed to stay tobacco free. Cessation medication will be provided for a nominal fee. Offers a smoking cessation program specifically designed for adults desiring to quit smoking. Teaches skills and techniques that have proven to help smokers quit in a group clinic setting or through an online program and self-help book.

Offers tobacco cessation counseling, promote quitting among adults and youth, and reduce exposure to secondhand smoke. Also offers group tobacco cessation behavior modification program and prevention materials available.

Offers a program to help anyone quit smoking. The program can be done one-to-one, or in a group setting.

Provides officers that offer training to students and school staff. These new programs teach basic education on vaping, drugs, opioid, and alcohol use, as well as diagnostic steps for assessing impairment and strategies to respond to drug and alcohol-induced situations. Provides cessation support, referrals and information to callers who wish to quit smoking or obtain information related to cessation and tobacco use. Callers may speak to trained information specialists or leave a message during off-hours to have their phone call returned by a specialist. They may also order a free smoking cessation guide to be mailed directly to their home or listen to a taped message library that provides information about quitting smoking.
