Provides New York State licensed assessment program for 18 boys and girls (5-15 yrs). It provides up to 90 days of comprehensive inpatient diagnostic testing and evaluations in a structured, therapeutic setting.

A program for young people experiencing unusual thoughts, behaviors, or sensory perceptions such as hearing or seeing things that others don't. The focus is on early recovery; to help people get back on track with school, work and relationships.

Support is focused on enhancing services and supports for students with disabilities from early childhood and school-age education to engagement in post-school opportunities. Provides safe and secure on campus 24-hr care for up to 48 children who cannot reside in the community. The program is designed to provide services and supervision where professional staff helps children feel safe, stabilize their behavior and deal with stress and trauma.

The program's primary goal is to decrease a youth's involvement with the juvenile-justice system by addressing behaviors that may range from truancy, substance-use disorders, criminal activity, or other common antisocial behaviors.

A Person in Need of Supervision (PINS) is a person under the age of 18 who is incorrigible, ungovernable, or habitually disobedient and is beyond the lawful control of his or her parent or guardian.

NYS OMH licensed residential program that provides 24 hour supervised congregate setting for 8 adolescent boys with a primary mental health diagnosis. Provides case management, support in daily living and the development of independent living skills, counseling, recreation, medication management and understanding symptoms, family support and relationship building.

Resource and referral program that links families of children with special health care needs (ages 0-21) to community resources, support groups, and provides guidance with referrals to other agencies.

Utilizes a wrap-around model of service delivery designed to assist with linking families to formal and informal supports and services in the community. Cases are assigned to workers who meet with families on a regular basis and work closely with schools regarding children who are experiencing difficulty with behavior or who have emotional difficulties. A family plan is developed with the entire family in a team approach.

Provides supportive case management services to adults and children that are severely and persistently mentally ill. The goal of the program is to assist mentally ill individuals in accessing services needed to enhance their quality of life while allowing them to be part of the community at the most productive level possible for that individual. This program utilizes a wrap-around model of service delivery designed specifically for children and adults to assist with linking individuals and families to formal and informal supports and services in the community. Case management can help in the area of living arrangements, physical health needs, mental health needs, economic needs, vocational/educational needs, social functioning, family functioning, self-care needs, self-direction, and substance abuse.

Provides treatment services which may include emotional support, problem-solving assistance, information and guidance in a variety of counseling settings and approaches for individuals who are having difficulty in coping with a traumatic experience or in making the adjustments that are required by their particular stage in life. Clinic services include initial intake screening within the next business day and same day Urgent Care intake screening; comprehensive behavioral health assessment, screening, and monitoring; individual, couples, family and group therapy settings; and psychiatric evaluation which includes medication therapy and medication education and family support and education. Also offers to clients symptom management, support, case management and crisis intervention with face-to-face outreach and complex case management as needed. Provides behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorder) screening; developmental testing; psychiatric rehabilitation readiness and referral.

Provides psycho educational assessment and counseling services to children and families, and counseling for adults. The center also provides consultation to schools and other agencies in the community. Clinical Services are provided by advanced Masters and Doctoral students under the supervision of licensed mental health providers that are faculty members.

A12-month school program that provides intensive clinical and special education services to enhance the functioning of children and their families with the ultimate goal of maintaining children in the community and preserving the family unit. Program serves 18 boys and girls (5-12 yrs at admission) with a Committee on Special Education classification of emotionally disturbed or psychiatric diagnosis with psychotic features, or if without psychotic features, experiencing a functional deficit in home, school or peer relations.

Provides psychiatric and psychological evaluations, individual, family, and group therapy, medication management, crisis intervention, case management, early intervention, and outpatient treatment, health screening and referral, discharge planning, and therapy groups.

Serves youngsters ages 5-18 who are diagnosed as having a severe emotional disorder and who need extensive psychiatric support. Diagnostic categories include, but are not limited to: attention deficit, anxiety, schizophrenia, paranoia and affective autism spectrum disorders. Services include 6:1:1 or 8:1:1 placement with appropriate support staff at the Sayville Academic Center and 8:1:1 placement with appropriate support staff at the Sequoya High School and Jefferson Academic Center. Psychiatric, rehabilitation, social work, and psychological services are offered. Students who no longer need intense psychiatric support can remain at their respective centers and receive counseling from Eastern Suffolk BOCES staff.

A strength-based program that serves youth ages 0-21 years with serious emotional difficulties, developmental disabilities (if in foster care), and medical fragility. Enrollment in the program is voluntary and no fees are charged to the family. Staff meet with the family/youth in their home and other locations chosen by the family.

Offers comprehensive outpatient service for children and adolescents. Designed to meet the needs of children who have severe emotional and/or psychiatric illness.

Operates Article 16 Diagnostic/Treatment Center providing assessment, evaluations and treatment, and family support services through staff of physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and medical consultants.

Provides youth ages 12 to 21 years who are in need of emergency care and have emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental challenges.

Clinical, educational, and recreational services for at-risk children (7-12 yrs) from Chenango County who have demonstrated a level of acting out behavior and/or emotional disturbance at home, school or in the community which could culminate in out-of-home placement. Individual, family, and group counseling offered to parents on various topics such as family nutrition, positive relationship building, and academic success.

Provides preventive, educational and supportive services to parents with mental illness and an early intervention program for their young children under 5 years of age. Call for further information.
