Provides contracted mental health services for inmates at the Cattaraugus County jail, and for those referred by probation, parole, and court system. Forensic Services provides a Forensic Coordinator, Staff Psychiatrist and a Discharge Planner for the Rensselaer County Jail. The functions of this program include crisis management, diagnostic evaluation, linkage to social services, comprehensive treatment planning, individual and group counseling, referral and aftercare planning.

Provides mental health counseling and medication management for individuals ages 5 years and older.

County Staff Psychiatrist provides limited psychiatric consultation and court-ordered evaluations for the Courts within Rensselaer County.

Provides outpatient services for eligible individuals with mental illness, including those with a background of non-compliance to treatment and a need for safety in the community by gaining more assistance to avoid relapse.

Mental health outpatient service for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, including sex offenders. Length of program varies. Offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ex-offenders returning to Erie or Niagara County from a state facility. Intake must be made in cooperation with supervising parole officer.
