MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY | NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS OF CHAMPLAIN VALLEY

Provides a variety of support services for those with mental illness and their families. Support groups, educating the patient and family about specific mental illness and treatments, along with with advocating for clients when other services are needed. Family services are available in all three counties. However, adult services available only in Clinton County.

Individual Family Supports - Intandem

Provides behavior management, counseling, crisis intervention, family reimbursement, guardianship assistance, benefits and entitlements assistance, home modification, independent living skills, information and referral, parenting skills for parents of developmentally disabled children (in or out of home), service coordination/case management, support groups, and transitional planning for persons with developmental disabilities of all ages. Developmentally disabled parent training is provided to first time parents with a developmental disability. Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Program available for parents of children with autism.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH FOR PARENTS AND TEENS (ADAPT) | FAMILY SERVICES OF WESTCHESTER - SLEEPY HOLLOW

ADAPT focuses upon teen/parent mediation with families who are experiencing some form of conflict, such as truancy, school suspensions, out of control behaviors, which they feel powerless to resolve. Our trained mediators assist the families by facilitating the mediation and ensuring a safe space where they are able to accomplish the program goals and objectives.
