Offers individual and family counseling

The Human Services Department is responsible for the East Hampton Town's Senior Programs and offers case management/resources and helps individuals gain access to services that help address their needs.

Provides programs to help people build a strong sense of self, and regain control of their lives in order to succeed in school, at work, and at home. Individual, group and family counseling are available, including services for children and teens. Also offered is the PROS (Personalized Recovery-Oriented Services)Program for adults with a psychiatric diagnosis.

Spanish speaking people adolescents (12 and older); adults that need counseling, information or other services in Spanish.

Provides mental health assessments and evaluations, along with treatment through individual, group or family therapy, including adolescent and child counseling, and an anger management program.

Offers evaluation and counseling for children, adults, and families struggling with emotional issues. Also provides on-site sexual abuse counseling.

Offers a comprehensive, community-based substance abuse treatment program for ages 13 and up. Provides intensive day treatment, women's/men's group, parenting skills, adolescent group, mandated treatment, MICA treatment, significant other's group comprehensive assessments, individual or group therapy, family or marital therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, vocational assessment and counseling, psycho-education, and extended evaluation/motivation groups. Offers four clinics and a fully licensed early childhood program. The clinics include: Diane Lindner-Goldberg Child Care Institute, Psychological Evaluation Research and Counseling Clinic, Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic, Reading/Writing Learning Clinic and Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. The Center supports high quality educational and practical experiences for Hofstra University students and provides services to University employees and to the community at large. Access to multiple services within the Center afford the opportunity for a comprehensive approach to a client's needs. Offers multidisciplinary treatment to children and adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia Nervosa . Provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and plans individualized treatment program. Offers outpatient treatment involving professional patient monitoring nutritional counseling and individual and family psychotherapy. Also offers in-patient treatment, where appropriate, involving intensive treatment in a highly structured environment and a day program attended by patients 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, with treatment intensity comparable to treatment of hospitalized patients. Treatment approach addresses the biopsychosocial needs of patients.

Provides alcohol/drug abuse treatment, individual, group, couples and family counseling, educational series, relapse prevention, early recovery, anger management workshops. DWI track evaluations and referrals, crisis intervention, criminal justice, OASAS certified veterans self-help group.

Provides various counseling approaches to individuals including group therapy, short term individual therapy for adults, marital and family therapy and medication therapy. Also offers counseling and case management services to individuals with mental health needs that are involved with the legal system, while incarcerated or on parole or probation. Offers referrals to other programs and facilities to help ensure all mental health needs are being met.

Provides psycho educational assessment and counseling services to children and families, and counseling for adults. The center also provides consultation to schools and other agencies in the community. Clinical Services are provided by advanced Masters and Doctoral students under the supervision of licensed mental health providers that are faculty members.

Provides outpatient individual, group, conjoint and family counseling, therapy groups, medication and other mental health services for community residents, especially those who have acute or chronic psychiatric disorders or who may be experiencing difficulty resolving personal or interpersonal conflicts or making personal adjustments to stressful life situations such as separation, divorce, widowhood, loss of a child, poor health, unemployment, family violence, delinquency or substance abuse. Services are offered to adults and children.

Treats adults and adolescents in a supportive and therapeutic environment. Offers individual and group therapy groups, crisis services, medication evaluation, treatment and management.

Provides individual, marital/couple, and family counseling services. Master level therapists are trained to address many emotional issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, parent-child difficulties, personal adjustment and stress related issues.

Works with clients who are: Suffering with chronic pain that is interfering with their quality of life; Overwhelmed by anxiety; Stressed by work, family and/or unmanageable finances and Struggling with pessimistic thoughts and painful memories. Acceptance and commitment therapy aims to free clients from the grip of emotional and/or physical pain, teaching them to live effectively with the difficult symptoms associated with chronic pain, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, panic and stress-related problems. Through its emphasis on values, behavioral commitment and acceptance, acceptance and commitment therapy prepares patients to be increasingly present in their lives and encourages them to commit to living in a rich and meaningful manner. Provides outpatient mental health evaluation and treatment for adults by a team of psychiatrists and social workers. Services include individual, family and group therapy, and medication management. Also available are mental health services for the homeless.

Assists individuals who are dealing with illness of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder. Treatment services provided include: health screening, coordination of care with medical doctor, psychosocial evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, nutritional assessment, psycho-educational groups, weight monitoring, group therapy, meal planning, individual therapy, family therapy, medication education, stress management, supportive meal and snacks. Support group available for people with eating disorders, as well as family and friends. Meets the first Monday of every month from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Provides outpatient mental health services, such as mental health screening, individual, group, child/adolescent counseling, geriatric services, including after care support.

Provides individual counseling for adolescents and adults who are adopted.

Offers integrated mental health services for individuals, families, adolescents and children. Psychiatry treatment is coordinated with patient's medical provider using a holistic approach to care. Services are short-term offering a solution focused model of care. Preventative screenings for social and emotional concerns are also offered. Individuals or families needing more intensive care will be referred to appropriate services outside of Open Door.

Provides outpatient clinics for individuals diagnosed with mental or emotional disorders, phobias, depression, marriage counseling, etc.
