Offers home visits, special needs assessment, case management, safety planning, counseling, home security surveys and lock installations, and linkages to caregiver services for older adults who have been a victim of robbery or have witnessed a crime.

Assists individuals in recognizing obstacles in their lives, developing personal goals and skills to achieve those goals. Provides opportunities for individuals to experience personal growth, manage conflicts between family and employment demands. Assists individuals to improve job skills, expand problem solving abilities, master budgeting and time management. Also operates food pantry.

Provides supervised living programs for 32 residents on the grounds of Pilgrim Psychiatric Center and 44 residents in four houses in the community. Vocational training, volunteer placement, employment, day treatment or continuing education are encouraged. Emphasis is on ADL and enhancing socialization skills. Specialized programs are also available for MICA, and low motivated residents.

Offers support, information and social activities for the bereaved, including professionally led support groups for bereaved parents and children and the newly bereaved. Concurrent group for bereaved parents of school age children and the bereaved children. Call for an intake appointment.

Staff work with families, when appropriate, to address conditions which adversely affect a child's care. Staff work with families directly, and coordinate services with community resources to improve family conditions. Provides supportive and/or rehabilitative services to families with children who are at risk, while ensuring safety and permanence for children. Provides support services by licensed clinicians, paraprofessionals and peers designed to stabilize crisis situations and effectively reduce demands on emergency departments and inpatient hospital services. Referral required.

Provides an alternative to inpatient, psychiatric-related hospitalization through staff safe, supportive community houses to provide person-centered peer support and retreat for persons in emotional or near crisis states for up to seven days. Guests self-refer, come and go as they desire, and have 24/7 access to peer counseling/support and education to assist through troubling times. Mobile response team also provided for Dutchess county. Hospital Diversion Houses have helped many people to regain wellness while maintaining independence in the community.

The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Mobile Access Plan (MAP) involves specialized training for officers in dealing with individuals in crisis due to mental health issues, and also includes training in suicide intervention.
