Helps individuals aged 18 and older learn and utilize coping skills and create and strengthen their community supports to avoid hospitalization or re‑hospitalization.

Offers an intensive day treatment program for patients with mental or emotional illness who might otherwise need hospitalization or for whom office therapy is not enough. Services include Individual and group therapy, activity therapy and socialization programs.

SPCA volunteers take specially trained shelter dogs or their own dogs to visit nursing and retirement homes, hospitals, group homes and day care centers. Also recruits volunteers who would like to work with the dogs and those people the dogs are taken to visit.

Provides comprehensive support services to individuals who are diagnosed with severe mental illness and who are unable or unwilling to utilize the traditional mental health system. ACT delivers support services by a multi-disciplinary mental health treatment team in individual residences or to other community locations. Call for further information.

Provides a comprehensive outpatient, referrals for Inpatient, Residential treatment program for individuals struggling with alcohol and/or drug addiction

Provides state-of-the art evidence-based psychological treatments (cognitive behavioral therapy) for individuals suffering from anxiety and/or depression. The Center also provides a thorough diagnostic evaluation to assess current symptoms which includes a detailed interview conducted by a clinician as well as the administration of self-report questionnaires. Also the center will conduct research on the nature and treatment of anxiety and depression. Problems Treated at the Anxiety and Depression Program include: Panic Disorder; Generalized Anxiety Disorder; Specific Phobia; Social Anxiety; Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Depression. Offers mental health support through assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals to appropriate community mental health services and resources. The team responds to people in crisis, usually at their homes or at another community location, including at their office locations.

Offer intensive case management and support for people with severe and continuing mental health problems, especially individuals with many hospitalizations, and who need help taking medication or following a prescription, finding a place to live or using work and other support services.

INPATIENT PROGRAM: 17-bed unit for adolescents and adults who have anorexia nervosa, bulimia or other eating disorders. Program includes medical and psychiatric evaluation and treatment, nutritional and behavior counseling.OUTPATIENT: Intensive, short-term group therapy for those with bulimia, anorexia nervosa, and binge eating disorders, including individual and family counseling and Pharmacotherapy.PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION: Brief, 3-5 days per week ambulatory treatment alternative, provides a medically managed, therapeutic setting for those experiencing acute exacerbation of an eating disorder, or those who need a step-down or transitional program following inpatient care.

The Heartline is a first-of-its-kind resource for youth ages 14-21 who are currently in, or who have recently left, foster care. Callers to The Heartline will access a caring, relatable responder who is a young adult with personal lived experience in foster care or the juvenile justice system in New York State.

Expressive skills-building services such as art, music, and play help children or young adults better understand and express their reactions through creative and kinesthetic treatment.

Offers addiction treatment centers, throughout several locations in the state. Services include residential alcohol and drug addiction services, along with other difficulties associated with alcohol or chemical dependency.

Provides in-home assistance, phone support and overall case management for individuals diagnosed with mental illness.

Provides detox and inpatient rehab for drug/alcohol abuse, for persons 16 years and older. We provide 24-hour medical supervision, acupuncture, stress management, spiritual guidance and religious services for all denominations. Group and one-on-one therapy and counseling.

Offers adult males, ages 21 and older affected by substance and dependency, a wide range of support services. Provides a 30 day orientation program, counseling, recreational outings, chemical dependency education, relapse prevention and anger management. Also provides medical exams, testing and health counseling. Offers GED preparation, vocational assessment and counseling, life skill training, employment and housing support.

A drop-in center, for those who are program participants, to achieve competitive work skills, access computers, socialize with others, play music or sing, make deli type lunch, watch TV or do arts and crafts.

Offers wide range of mental health services, including evaluation, crisis intervention, and on-going therapy for a full range of psychiatric disorders.

New York State Licensed treatment program providing comprehensive outpatient alcohol and chemical dependency treatment for men, women, adolescents, and children. Intensity of treatment is determined by client needs. Intensive morning program for men and women.

The Community Based Services encompasses Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster counties in New York and can include Care Management, Adoption Recruitment, Children and Family Treatment and Support Services and Home, and Community Based Services.

Provides 31 units of permanent housing and supportive services for high need homeless, and psychiatrically disabled adults. Offers rehabilitation services, teaching of coping skills and crisis intervention. Offers staff assistance 24 hours a day.

Offers a socialization and recovery program to Nassau County residents with severe mental illness, ages 18 and older. Provides opportunities in a "club house setting" for individuals to improve socialization skills, physical, emotional and spiritual health and decision making, reduce symptoms, maintain sobriety, and learn technology skills. Provides 24 hour supervision at local community sites for adults with mental illness. Services provided at each site are restorative services, symptom management, community living skills, information and referral, crisis management, medication education and monitoring, and community integration. Staff provides supportive assistance and instruction in daily living skills and use of community resources. There are ten residences located in Nassau and Suffolk County. Transportation provided to local day treatment services.

Provides individual, couple, group, and family counseling for people who are using or have a history of substance abuse and their families. Also offers substance abuse preventive programs in the community.

Provides substance abuse prevention education to elementary and secondary students, teachers, and parents, including one-to-one counseling to students struggling with, or at risk of alcohol or drug addiction. Works at the community level to change policies and practices related to alcohol and other drug abuse; supports local mobilization efforts
