Funded by the Tompkins County room tax to improve landscaping and appearance of places likely to be visited by tourists. Seasonal program staff and "Beautification Brigade" volunteers plant and maintain planters on and near the Ithaca Commons and roadside gardens in high visibility areas. Also distributes funds to rural Tompkins County towns for their own beautification programs.

Hands-on museum participation allows children (and adults) to create their own learning experience and encourages new discoveries about themselves and their world. Memberships available. Birthday parties, scout snoozes, and meetings can be arranged. Gift shop.

Zoo Education Volunteers (Docents) help to guide tours, spotlight animals, and educate the public about environmental issues around the world and at home. Gardening volunteers maintain the gardens on site. Special event volunteers assist with various tasks during the zoo's fundraising events throughout the year

Combines a museum, gift shop, community meeting hall and banquet facility.

To enhance residents overall quality of life by offering individualized activities tailored to mutual areas of interest between volunteers and residents. Volunteers help wheelchair residents to Sunday services on campus. Volunteers visit with residents.

Offers volunteers a variety of opportunities of outdoor education and recreation, such as teaching, help at specific events, trail maintenance, gardening, exhibit construction, receptionist for 2-hr shift on occasional Saturday, snowplow parking lot, assembly bi-monthly newsletter, and other projects at five sites.
