Funded by the Tompkins County room tax to improve landscaping and appearance of places likely to be visited by tourists. Seasonal program staff and "Beautification Brigade" volunteers plant and maintain planters on and near the Ithaca Commons and roadside gardens in high visibility areas. Also distributes funds to rural Tompkins County towns for their own beautification programs.
Provides recovery coaching; telephone recovery support; workshops and programs to support recovery; home-like setting for 12-step groups and other recovery groups; social activities including movie nights, holiday events, potluck suppers and more; library; and lounge area for relaxation, quiet conversations and reading.
