Offers an opportunity for individuals and groups who want to volunteer their time with maintaining the upkeep of the camp, in various ways, such as building or ground maintenance, equipment repair, and more. Individuals and groups can help for a day, a weekend, a week or on an ongoing basis.

Zoo Education Volunteers (Docents) help to guide tours, spotlight animals, and educate the public about environmental issues around the world and at home. Gardening volunteers maintain the gardens on site. Special event volunteers assist with various tasks during the zoo's fundraising events throughout the year

Volunteers may provide transportation to essential services and appointments, run errands, assist with grocery and personal shopping, or pick up prescriptions, plan a regular phone visit or home visit to provide friendly and supportive listening, prepare/deliver a weekly meal or treat, perform general yard work or light housekeeping, and/or provide respite for caregiver.

To enhance residents overall quality of life by offering individualized activities tailored to mutual areas of interest between volunteers and residents. Volunteers help wheelchair residents to Sunday services on campus. Volunteers visit with residents.

Recruit new volunteers, assists clubs, master preserver and master clothing and textile volunteers.

Offers an alternative to a nursing home, hospital, or at-home care for terminally ill persons. Offers 10 beds in private rooms. Open to all regardless of religion, race or financial resources. Funded by the Tompkins County room tax to improve landscaping and appearance of places likely to be visited by tourists. Seasonal program staff and "Beautification Brigade" volunteers plant and maintain planters on and near the Ithaca Commons and roadside gardens in high visibility areas. Also distributes funds to rural Tompkins County towns for their own beautification programs.

Offers volunteers a variety of opportunities of outdoor education and recreation, such as teaching, help at specific events, trail maintenance, gardening, exhibit construction, receptionist for 2-hr shift on occasional Saturday, snowplow parking lot, assembly bi-monthly newsletter, and other projects at five sites. Volunteers <18 yrs must be accompanied by parent or adult, on case-by-case approval.

Offers programs to help sustain agriculture including information and support where possible in managing pests, pollution prevention, waste and water management, animal husbandry including dairy and livestock production, beekeeping, field/crop management, grape and vegetable crop production, farm business management, and forest and wildlife management.

Offers individuals and groups the opportunity to help with fund raising, and routine home and yard maintenance. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Combines a museum, gift shop, community meeting hall and banquet facility.

Hands-on museum participation allows children (and adults) to create their own learning experience and encourages new discoveries about themselves and their world. Memberships available. Birthday parties, scout snoozes, and meetings can be arranged. Gift shop.

Provides volunteer opportunities to anyone who is an accomplished gardener to help with the gardening hotline, give seminars, demonstrations, and more.
