A recreational program providing two one week camp sessions for children ages 5-10 years with diabetes. The camp is staffed by nurses, a doctor and highly trained camp counselors providing diabetes education. Program limited to 25 children per week.

Provides support to individuals, 18 years of age and older with developmental disabilities transitioning from school, in developing skills for independent living and employment. Welcome Friends is a non-sectarian organization seeking to create a sense of community for neighbors affected by hunger and poverty by serving them with dignity and respect in safe, hospitable environments. Provides hot meals and sandwiches or groceries to go.

Infant Program provides services for children birth to approximately twelve-eighteen months with a focus on parent education. Support is given to families to help encourage their child's growth in gross and fine motor, cognition, speech and language, social development and self-help skills. The Toddler Program services children eighteen months to three years of age. Educational activities are designed to promote skills in all areas of development with a focus on special instruction, speech/language, physical and occupational therapy, ABA training, counseling, audiology, nutrition and nursing services. Family training and family support services are also offered. Both programs are in-home or center based. Transportation and in-house library,toys, books, audio visual materials are available.

Responds to requests from volunteers to be referred to mentoring programs. Screening refers volunteers to programs matching their geographic and demographic preferences. Provides an orientation class, Mentoring 101 to let you know what to expect and how to get started. This two-hour class prepares you to mentor.
