**THIS AGENCY HAS DISCONTINUED SERVICES AS OF MARCH 14, 2025** Provides support and case management for alleged sex abuse and physical abuse victim in Nassau County. The program provides crisis intervention, accompaniment to criminal and family court, police, District Attorney's office, forensic rape exam. Serves as a liaison to the Nassau County Multi Disciplinary Team and service providers. Assists in completing Crime Victim's Compensation.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, assistance is available with food and hygiene products, typically in the form of food vouchers/gift cards. Provides financial assistance, budgeting, advocacy, and referral. Gas cards available to assist with traveling to medical appointments. Counseling offered for depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, communication issues, problem solving, family transitions, and parent/child conflicts. Offers grief support groups and Domestic Violence Victims weekly support groups. Confidential location of the Domestic Violence Victims group is shared with women when they call for information. Other support groups may be formed based on need or upon request.

State-licensed clinic offering comprehensive programs representing a broad range of disciplines including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and social work. Services include individual, family, and group counseling; groups including Men's Anger Management, Adolescent Boy's Anger Management, Sexual, Perpetrator's, Adult Victims of Sexual Abuse, and Anxiety Treatment (other groups run as needed); medication monitoring and evaluations; and outreach and education on topics related to mental health. Services available by tele-health and in the office with social distancing.

Provides assistance with filing Family Offense Petitions to obtain an Order of Protection, assistance filing Custody and Support Petitions, a 24-hour hotline, accompaniment to court, law enforcement agencies, or hospital, personal advocacy, safe house, safety planning, support groups, individual counseling, and information and referral to community resources.

A program from the Mental Health Association of Westchester which provides assistance in safety planning, calming victims in crisis, explaining court processes, provide emotional support, accompany clients to court, discuss options which may be available, and connect victims to shelters, medical services, counseling, financial assistance, legal services, and compensation/replacement services.

Provides emergency shelter and a safe environment for older adults in abusive relationships or situations. Offers an Elder Abuse prevention and training program for professionals working with older adults in the community.

Meets at the Center three times a week, to meet the needs of Women in Crisis, along with survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, promoting safety for children and women.

Provides various support groups, designed specifically for children and pre-teens living with domestic violence, separation or divorce issues in their family. Children's Support Group (Ages 7-9)- A growth oriented program to address children's concerns. Pre-Teen Girls and Boys (Separate groups, ages 10-12) Topics include friendships, conflict-resolution, self-esteem, coping, communication skills, and anti-bullying education.

Teams are composed of professionals from various disciplines whose primary focus is to investigate, intervene and prevent elder abuse and financial exploitation (age 60 and over). JFS coordinates the teams for Ulster.

Provides programs for substance abuse, domestic violence, and HIV Prevention, anger management, conflict resolution and workshop series.

Provides low threshold case management for women who have experienced trauma, are at risk or diagnosed with HIV/Hepatitis B & C, or have a history of substance use. Facilitates access to medical/mental health care, trauma informed care housing and benefits from DSS. Offers HIV testing, mental health/substance use assessments and on-site support groups and workshops including life skills education and Seeking Safety.
