The National September 11 Memorial Museum tells the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. The lives of every victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks are commemorated.The 911 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to those killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, PA and the Pentagon, as well as those killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February, 1993. Provides youth with trips and special events designed to provide necessary socialization, recreation, entertainment and outlets for youth who are not financially able to participate in such activities.

Preserves and exhibits local history and presents programs on the local history of Huntington. Offers educational programs for school age children at the Conklin and Kissam House Museums and a summer camp program. Offers tours, exhibitions, craft classes, genealogy workshops, seasonal festivals and special events.

This program has 4 components: Gardening - 6 gardens provide fresh produce for local residents who participate in clean-ups, planning, harvesting, and other garden activities.School and Community-based environmental education. Seeks to protect and preserve natural habitat which is home to a variety of plant and wildlife including waterfowl, osprey and white-tailed deer. Preserve also offers 50 miles of hiking, horseback riding (by annual permit), cross country skiing and nature trails, as well as fly fishing (with permit). The 32 mile Long Island Greenbelt Trail passes through the preserve. A museum and gift shop are also part of the preserve.
