Provides educational and employment services for eligible 16-24 year olds under the WIOA. Offers a comprehensive program to help youth transition into adulthood and gain economic self sufficiency through academic support, college/career exploration, mentoring and leadership opportunities.

Provides a program designed for high school students which helps foster character, personal growth, leadership skills and encourage community service. Activities include a guidance center, Liberty Keystone Club Leadership program, Community service, Junior Keystone Leadership program, College Quest, Recognition programs, Computer lab, and Friday night events such as battle of the bands, open mic and more.

Provides programs and services that ensure the healthy development of the town's children and youth from birth to age 21. Current programs address after school care, adolescent mental health, youth employment, youth court, leadership development, alternative activities, information and referral, case management services, youth drop-in center, and Grandparents Raising Children support group. Tompkins Cortland Community College is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York, and offers degrees and certificates in more than 40 academic programs including nursing, business administration, criminal justice, chemical dependency counseling, new media, sports management, culinary arts, sustainable farming and food systems, and liberal arts programs, including education and general studies. Offers solutions for nonprofit organizations and training and networking for nonprofit leaders, managers, and supervisors. We assist in developing the nonprofit workforce to strengthen organizational capacity for effective service. Provides a nine-day residential leadership development program for girls entering their sophomore or junior year of high school. During this program, girls from diverse cultures and backgrounds come together to engage in workshops and activities designed to fully awaken the leader within them, using the leadership model of Eleanor Roosevelt.

Provides leadership training for youth, either with or without disabilities, and then to focus these skills within the community by engaging in events, projects and more.

The Urban League of Long Island, Inc. enlists the support of our auxiliary organizations towards the fulfillment of our civic engagement and leadership empowerment goals. The Guild and GenNext are comprised of community volunteers who serve as a base of support for the Urban League of Long Island. These individuals engage in community service and professional development activities with the overarching goal of promoting and fulfilling the mission of the Urban League Movement on Long Island.

Serves as a statewide voice for more than 700 boards of education. Provides current information and advice on matters affecting school boards. Cooperates with other educational and related organizations to promote excellence in education. Provides advocacy information, leadership development and custom services to public school boards.

The Venturing program offers exciting and meaningful activities that help high school students pursue their special interests, mature as individuals, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens. Venturing crews can specialize in a variety of vocations or hobby interests. Crews are established by local community organizations by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community.

A program which aims to encourage youth to engage in healthy behaviors early in life that reduce preventable chronic diseases, unwanted pregnancy and the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases. The youth participate in workshops and various activities, community service projects which help to build leadership skills and to help build up their community.

Offers a nine-month leadership development program, with three main components: Finding Your Passion, Nonprofit Learning and Executive Leadership Development. The curriculum also provides a thorough understanding of nonprofit board responsibilities and key management tools to help graduates become a valuable resource for a nonprofit. After completing the program, graduates have the capability to be highly-skilled leaders to assume positions of influence and impact, particularly as board members for nonprofit agencies.

Provides free legal services and referrals to Latina women in abusive relationships. Also offers a workshop, the first for Latina women, Talleres de Liderazgo, that is a free five-week course, taught in Spanish only, on leadership and basic legal rights training. Topics include domestic violence, access to medical care and education, and legal rights as workers, parents and spouses. Legal services available to Suffolk County residents.

Offers physical fitness activities for both adults and kids (basketball, soccer, flag football, Swimming, and more), as well as leadership development, active older adult’s programs and trips, exercise classes (yoga, cardio, strength training, water exercise), summer camps, before and after school child care, preschool programs, teen program including activity center, home school physical education, and various health and wellness programs. Off-site swimming pool offers open swim year-round, lap and family swims, lifeguard training, and swim lessons.

Offers minority high school girls (14-18 primarily African American) an opportunity to learn leadership skills. Youth forum held annually.

Provides services, including apartments, for older teens to help them achieve self-sufficiency and avoid long-term dependency on social services.

Preparing Youth for Adulthood (PYA) Program is designed to prepare our young people, ages 14 to 20, for the transition from foster care to self-sufficiency.

The mission of Girls Incorporated of Long Island is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. We provide school and community-based programming that serves the unique needs of girls ages 5-18, living in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Through community partnerships, we help girls to achieve their potential making their future brighter.
