Provides support to men who are new or expectant fathers, as well as those needing to complete court-mandated parenting classes. Our free services to men include evidence-based, Broome County Family Court approved parenting classes, a one-on-one mentoring program, material resources, a supplemental "Doctor Dad" educational program for fathers, and an "Alternatives to Domestic Violence" program for men who have an assessed need.

Provides a supportive, psycho-educational, skill development-based therapy group for parents and guardians of children of all ages who witnessed, experienced, or are at risk for various types of abuse (physical, emotional, sexual), in order to reduce the parents and guardians distress related to the child abuse experience, and to increase the parents and guardians protective abilities through increased knowledge about abuse and the impact of trauma, and the development and practice of parenting skills. This group serves families in which children have been identified as at risk for abuse and neglect, and for whom court-ordered parenting education has been recommended.

Parenting education workshop for parents who are referred by the courts, other agencies, as well as self-referred parents who are not involved with the courts. Challenges such as substance abuse, mental health, custody and domestic violence are a few of the reasons parents attend the program. Several groups run at the same time and parents are placed in groups according to the age of their children. Workshop meets 3 hours once a week for 8 weeks.

Offers a variety of support groups for those with active alcohol and substance use, those in recovery, and family and friends affected by a loved one's alcohol or substance use. SMART RECOVERY - A recovery group that focuses on accountibility and learning new, healthy habits through open discussions about personal choices and options. Mondays from 2pm-3pm. MEN'S GROUP - An education and discussion recovery group for men in the community led by a recovery coach with personal recovery. Mondays from 2pm-3pm. RECOVERY NOW - A peer-led support group for early risers that also provides assistance with drug court. Tuesdays from 8:15am-9:15am. SMART RECOVERY FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS - a support group for family & friends affected by someone using substances, coping skills, effective methods for helping and ways to remain healthy are discussed. Tuesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm. CELEBRATE RECOVERY - A faith-based recovery group led by community members. Tuesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm. LIVING WELL - A seven week life-skills group facilitated by local volunteers from Lockport CARES. Wednesdays from 9:30am-11:30am. SERENITY CIRCLE - A peer-led discussion group facilitated by two recovery coaches. Wednesdays from 12noon-1pm. EPIC Parenting Class - A 10-week, evidence-based parenting class run by EPIC employees. A court-approved certification is awarded at the completion of the 10 classes. Must pre-register to attend. Wednesdays from 12:30pm-1:30pm. HEALING TOGETHER - A support group for families and loved ones of people in recovery or currently using substances. Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm. BIBLE STUDY - Led by community members of faith, Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm. AA - OPEN mutual support groups led by members of the community. Wednesdays from 6-7pm and Thursdays from 7pm-8pm. NA - OPEN mutual support groups led by members of the community. Thursdays from 10 am-11am & Saturdays from 11am-12noon. WOMEN'S GROUP - An education and discussion recovery group for women in the community led by a Save The Michaels recovery coach and case manager. Fridays from 12noon-1pm. NARCAN TRAINING - An education session that focuses on understanding how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, led by NYS approved trainers. Certification given upon completion. Provides emergency assistance to individuals with an urgent need for food, personal care items, medication, or other assistance due to an unforeseen emergency; food vouchers provided. Works with clients on budgeting to prevent future emergencies. Provides group for separated/divorced parents and significant others who want to reduce conflict and effectively parent their children. Provides domestic violence classes for men whose participation is court ordered. These classes provide information on the impact of men's abuse of power on family members; men's violence against women in society and how to end it; the historical, societal and cultural aspects of domestic abuse, oppression, racism, and sexism; and community efforts to stop domestic violence at the local and national level. Also provides friendly phone calls for older adults in Genesee County.
