Oversee Civil Service Law, provides Nassau County a process to be hired into public employment based on merit and fitness. Program is responsible for announcement, recruitment, classification, qualification, examination, and placement. County office is liason between the State Commission and various County and municipal agencies.
Assistance and advocacy with obtaining benefits for a range of services such as funerals and burials, disability claims and compensation, nursing home care and VA pensions. Information on Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder and job finding assistance.
