A counselor helps individuals develop an employment plan that might include volunteering, job readiness classes at Niagara University, skills training, job placement, and follow-along services after hiring. This plan is based on an individual's specific interests and abilities.

Provides Cash Assistance for recipients who are not employed to capacity but are able to work. Must enroll in the program to receive work experience, training, and the tools to return to self-sufficiency. Employment Unit can help individuals become job-ready and find a rewarding job to develop their experience, skills, and self-esteem. Job developers also work with local employers.

OWS provides comprehensive employment services, including job skill training programs, unemployment information, cover letter and resume assistance workshops, job referrals, internships, support services, career counseling and more.

Community Outreach Center provides assistance in finding employment. Career development counselors are on hand to help individuals create a professional resume, and assist a prospective employee develop interviewing skills that showcase his/her aptitudes, experience, and workplace readiness.
