SUNY Erie Career Coaches work with registered constituents to create a pathway to success. Services are cost-free; however, individuals must be registered with the Career Center to access individualized assistance. Services include career coaching, linkages and job referrals to hiring employers, individual and comprehensive assessments, career coaching, resume preparation, job search planning, job interview preparation, networking job clubs, Individual Training Account (ITA) tuition grants for eligible customers, referrals to partner agencies, and Adult, Dislocated Worker and Trade Act programs. Daycare and other support services may be available for qualifying individuals while they are in WIOA-approved training.

Program assists job seekers to succeed in the job market by providing guidance to improve job readiness skills, resume writing, and job search strategies. Also provides career guidance and one-on-one consulting.

Offers easy access to the following employer services: job postings, candidate listings, information (referrals, permits, legal, etc.), economic development referrals, pre-hire testing (fee for service), recruitment, screening, job fairs, and business seminars. Also offers coordinated referrals and access to over 50 certified training programs throughout Chautauqua County and surrounding areas. Customers can obtain the following services: internet access to statewide and regional job listings, learning the best skills to acquire a job, assistance with job placement, and unemployment insurance information. Offers specialized services for youth under the age of 24. Youth summer employment opportunities may be available, depending upon funding. Free informational workshops: Career Exploration, Create/Update Your Resume, How to Conduct an Effective Job Search, Interviewing Techniques to Help You Get That Job, and much more. Resources include computer access, fax machine, telephone access (for calling employers), out of area job listings, photocopier, and professional staff assistance.

Provides an array of services to employers, from organizing annual job fairs and informational expos to recruitment assistance. Other services include creating/listing job postings, pre-employment testing, referrals of qualified candidates, pre-screening for specific skills and qualifications, screening for available training subsidies and/or tax credits, and the possible training and upgrading of existing employees.

Offers convenient job search services to all job seekers. Current Job leads available daily. Interviewing for jobs, job referral, employment counseling, employment workshops, referral to training including TAA (Trade Adjustment Act). Every Career Center has dedicated staff to help assess the needs, skills, and interests of job seekers. Job seekers are guided through a step-by-step approach to the job search. Veterans Services: Offers Priority of Service to veterans and their eligible spouses. Provides quality job training and employment services leading to gainful employment and livable wages for unemployed or underemployed farmworkers. Farmworkers enrolled in the program also benefit from the following services: - Emergency Assistance and Funds - Referral Assistance - Food Pantry and Nutrition Services - Emergency Housing and Utility Assistance - Emergency Transportation - English as a Second Language - Books and Supplies for Education - Clothing and Tools for Employment

Provides employment related services to Suffolk County Youth. Offers youth career counseling, resume preparation, computer labs, job listings, vocational training, video library, phones/fax for job search and career exploration via Career Zone and Choices, as well as access to the Community Resource Database of Long Island. Offers the In-School Youth Experience Program; a federally funded, school-based program for economically disadvantaged and/or at risk youth age 14-21. In close cooperation with several Suffolk County school districts, the program promotes good work habits and workplace skills aimed toward a future of success in the workforce. Also offers the Out-of-School Youth Work Experience Program; a federally funded program for economically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24 who are high school dropouts wanting to complete their high school education or graduates who are seeking to develop good work habits and employment skills in preparation for successful competition in the labor market and full-time employment. In addition, Summer Youth Employment Program. The Summer program is designed to provide first-time work experience opportunities to economically disadvantaged youth. Helps Temporary Assistance applicants and recipients obtain the skills they need to find employment. Once employed, families can receive help with childcare and other work-related expenses.

Provides assistance with resume writing, the job application process, filing for unemployment benefits, applying for financial aid, faxing services, bilingual services, and computer class instruction.

This program offers job readiness skills, vocational training, and personalized support.

Offers job information and transition counseling for military personnel who have completed their active duty and returning to civilian life.

Provides Information and Referral. Offers a wide range of programs which may include book discussions, senior citizen's advocacy, exercise classes, bus trips, lectures, driving courses.

Offers counseling, career development, work readiness seminars, intensive computer and office skills training, self-employment training, and job placement assistance to displaced homemakers.

General funding for aged-out foster youth to find gainful employment. It involves a complete wrap-around service, including housing, counseling, mentors, employment readiness, transportation and emergency relief.

Provides employment and training services including job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other pre-job guidance services; job matching and referral; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training.

Offer services to veterans of military service which include employer information, education, training and credentialing, as well as links to federal resources

A non-profit agency which serves the economically disadvantaged, dislocated workers, displaced homemakers, and those with other barriers to employment with employment opportunities. Offerings include basic computer skills, resume writing, career pathways, career services, summer youth employment programs and veterans services among others. Provides employment skills development and job placement services in the areas of bookkeeping, accounting, general clerical, computer skills, graphic arts, stock and inventory for people with a disability aged 16 and up.

Recruits and assesses low income, TANF eligible teenage students, with a strategy which includes academic support services, job readiness skills, conflict resolution training, and individual and group counseling to help them succeed in various ways.

A distinct job-linkage service that pairs young adults interested in obtaining employment with neighborhood businesses and local individuals seeking assistance in the areas of yard work, child care, tutoring, office help, and more. Teaches job readiness, helps build skills, and enables youth to gain real work experience.

Offers a premier connection to Jobscan providing access to the best tools empowering job seekers so they can land their dream jobs. Resources provide jobseekers notifications to hiring events and other career expos focusing on veteran and military spouse hiring. The Warrior’s Compass Team will assist in areas of Job searching, resume review, interview support, career resources, career mapping and mentorship. Career coaching support is a proactive approach to building career mental fitness.

Employment Services Department provides essential training in pre-employment and job readiness skills, ensuring individuals are well-equipped for success in job applications, interviews, and workplace environments. Through personalized support such as job coaching, skill enhancement, job placement and workplace accommodations, our program is designed to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in securing and thriving in meaningful employment.

Provides quality service and advocacy for New York State veterans, armed forces members, their dependents and survivors, ensuring they receive benefits granted by law for their service to New York and the nation. Some of the services provided include: Career Assessment, Referral to Jobs, Contacting Employers on your behalf, Resume preparation assistance, Information on Federal, State and Local Civil Service Opportunities, Job Search Planning, Labor Market Information, Information on direct appointment to Civil Service positions and Referral to other agencies that provide services to veterans.
