Provides support services to young children with developmental delays in their homes and other community settings. Special education, speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, and counseling can be provided in daycare, preschools and family homes. Teaching in the natural environment focuses on sensory and language rich activities, adaptive living skills, and social skill development, as well as building attention and pre-readiness skills. For young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Center for Spectrum Services can design home programs employing a verbal behavior approach following the principles of applied behavioral analysis. Each child's program is individually designed to meet their unique learning style and level of family participation.

Provides educational, social, support, early intervention services, and preschool classes for children birth to five years of age, and their families. Children with a wide variety of learning and developmental disabilities, including autism and Down syndrome, attend schools located throughout Westchester County.

Provides early intervention programs and special preschools for children with developmental disabilities, including information for parents and referrals to other community resources and services.

Performs various functions to assure that children up to the age of 21 with certain disabilities and/or chronic health conditions receive quality care while limiting the financial impact on families. Provides diagnostic evaluations to children birth to age three who are suspected of having developmental delay or have a medical diagnosis which can lead to developmental delay. Provides an intervention program through a multidisciplinary treatment team approach, including a comprehensive assessed and the collected information/data is used to develop an Individualized Service Plan (ISP). Offers individual treatment plans including: speech and language therapy including PROMPT physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parent counseling, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), and education of the visually and hearing impaired. Offers bilingual services and evaluations, Mommy and Me groups, parent support groups, family training and transition counseling.
