A program which aims to encourage youth to engage in healthy behaviors early in life that reduce preventable chronic diseases, unwanted pregnancy and the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases. The youth participate in workshops and various activities, community service projects which help to build leadership skills and to help build up their community.

MiSN implements evidence-based and affirming youth development and teen pregnancy prevention programs in a variety of settings. These programs have been thoroughly tested and proven to reduce the risk factors associated with teen pregnancies and becoming a teen parent.

Provides educational programming to groups of youth in Orleans and Genesee Counties as part of the NYS Department of Health CAPP Grant. Works to provide adolescents with information on consent, sexually transmitted infections, HIV, pregnancy, birth control, condom use, sexting, and healthy relationships through an evidence-based curriculum to prepare them to make their own informed sexual health decisions. The purpose to delay initial sexual encounters, reduce teen pregnancy and STI rates, and decrease disparities in health outcomes among youth.

Public awareness/education about teen pregnancy prevention, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted infections; school and community-based educational programming; linkage and referral to needed health services; and youth development activities.

Provides education and support in areas of disease and injury prevention. PACT serves the Village of Hempstead and surrounding communities. We focus on offering services to youth whom are at risk of unprotected sexual activity, early pregnancy, as well as pregnant and parenting teens. The PACT program works to provide teens with opportunities for cultural and education enrichment activities and case management that can support the development of personal goals.

Offers various services to girls and boys who want or need more specific information on pregnancy issues. Provides advocacy, direct support services, individual and group counseling, abstinence and health information, referrals, field trips, networking and prevention resources.

Provides prenatal, perinatal, postpartum care for women who need home care before and/or after the baby is born. Pediatric assessment, education and treatment for the family is also available, if needed. Also provides teen pregnancy prevention classes.
