COMPREHENSIVE ADOLESCENT PREGNANCY PREVENTION (CAPP) PROGRAM | MOUNT VERNON YOUTH BUREAU

Community Based Initiative with the purpose to develop and expand primary prevention programs aimed at decreasing the incidence of adolescent pregnancy and reducing the risk of STDs and HIV/AIDS.Specific goals of the C.A.P.P. initiative and local C.A.P.P. Projects are: 1.Promote healthy sexual behaviors and reduce the practice of risky sexual behaviors among adolescents, using Evidence Based Curriculum 2.Ensure access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and family planning services for adolescents 3.Expand opportunities and provide support and alternatives to sexual activity for adolescents4.Improve the community environment for adolescents through development of a coordinated community planHIV/AIDS Peer Education - Safety First
