Works to enhance the fullness of life for older adults living independently in the community. Provides services to seniors, which would help them remain in their homes, and continue to be a part of their community. Services include friendly visits, companionship assistance, transportation and shopping assistance, spiritual care, health education and counseling, network to community agencies, advocacy for quality care.

From resolving medical debts to proving eligibility for public health insurance, obtaining services that should be covered by Medicaid, and helping with language or disability accommodations, helps to eliminate barriers to healthcare for people and families with low-income.

Provides a statewide breast cancer hotline offering information, referrals, and support groups for women and men with breast cancer. Services include: a toll-free Breast Cancer Hotline for New Yorkers with and/or concerned about breast cancer and is staffed by professionally trained and supervised volunteers, all of whom are breast cancer survivors, and is available daily from 9am to 9pm. We provide licensed Social Work Services (in English and Spanish) which includes counseling, crisis intervention and referrals, in person, on the phone and via zoom. The program offers Support Groups which are facilitated for individuals and include groups for newly diagnosed, women with metastatic or Stage 4 disease, women under 40, Creative Arts, recurrence of breast cancer; we also provide two Spanish-language support groups: Cafecito which is a Survivorship group and Para Nuestro Bienestar for newly diagnosed women. Sisters United in Health (SUIH) is a coalition of local organizations that provides community outreach, health education, workshops and referrals for free or low-cost mammography and other health screenings to underserved communities. Breast Cancer Screening - Patient Navigation: These programs help women, regardless of insurance status, to overcome barriers to access and complete breast cancer screening at breast centers accredited through the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). New York State Breast and Prostate Cancer Peer Education: These programs offer education for women about the importance of regular breast cancer screening, and, for men, about the risks of prostate cancer.
