The Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) supplies people over 60 with counseling regarding Medicare A, B and D, QMB, SLMB, retiree health plans, other health insurance, medigap policies, long term care insurance, claim processing, EPIC, etc. THe Office for the Aging needs volunteers for its health insurance counseling helpline. To become a volunteer, one must go through HIICAP training

Conducts investigations, gathers evidence and effects arrests for insurance frauds and related crimes. The purpose of this program is to identify people in nursing homes who wish to transition back into the community, explain programs and services available to them, and make the appropriate referrals to begin the process.After their transition, participants are offered Person Centered Coaching for 6-8 skill building sessions to help identify strengths, preferences, needs, and desired outcomes. Open Doors also works closely with the Olmstead Housing Subsidy (OHS) Program, which provides housing assistance, furniture, and household goods to those who qualify.
