Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center's website is a navigational tool for patients to locate national, regional and local services in the following areas: Financial Assistance, Co-Pay Assistance, Prescription Assistance, Breast Prostheses, Medical Supplies, Lodging During Treatment, Transportation: Air or Ground, Career and Cancer Assistance, Legal Assistance, and Insurance Assistance.

Provides evaluation, fitting and training for SAEBO FLEX and SAEBO REACH orthotics that enable stroke and brain injury survivors to use their hand and arm for grasping and releasing.

Provides the following services to the blind and visually-impaired and to organizations/individuals working with this audience: information and referral, publications on blindness, data collection and information dissemination, and production of recorded materials for the blind through the Talking Books Program. Conducts a wide variety of programs to support independent living, literacy, employment and access to technology. Advocates for legislation and operates a web site which offers access to an on-line book store, Career Connect(employment planning tool), and Braille Bug(children's web channel for literacy).

Callers are provided with information and access to two specialized programs: Wig Clinic - Women diagnosed with any type of cancer who are receiving chemotherapy are eligible to receive a free wig. CancerCare provides new and gently used wigs in a variety of lengths, colors and styles. Both in-person (COVID vaccination required) and virtual appointments are offered. During an in-person, 30-minute fitting, women have the opportunity to try on different wigs. Basic wig care is discussed. Breast Prosthesis Clinic Women with breast cancer who have had a mastectomy are eligible to receive mastectomy supplies free of charge. During an individual 30-minute fitting, women can try on mastectomy bras and breast prostheses with assistance from a trained fitter. Two mastectomy bras and a breast prosthesis are provided free of charge. It is recommended that clients wait at least six weeks post-surgery to allow for proper healing.

Produces a free quarterly anthology on cassette tape for visually or physically impaired or dyslexic subscribers Nationwide.

Provides referrals and loans for the purchase of assistive technology including hearing and vision aids, accessible vehicles, home modifications and more.

The Kiyoko Brown Lekotek Center (toy library) offers young children, with varying types of disabilities, an experience of interactive play to learn and promote the inclusion into family and community life. The focus is on the joy of playing and learning, includes family play sessions shaped by the familyâs interests and needs, adapts specially selected toys available for lending, facilitates computer play using adaptive equipment and software, and uses creative ways to use toys to build a child's various skills.

Offers outpatient evaluation and treatment services to individuals with communication, voice, or cognitive problems, including a number of different therapies for swallowing disorders.

Serves as the coordinator for environmental and vehicle modifications to allow individuals with developmental disabilities to remain at home or in the community.

Provide patients with medical equipment, assistive equipment including assistive listening devices, hearing aids, prosthetic devices, mobility, walking and seating/positioning aids, etc.

Trains and provides guide dogs to people who are blind or visually impaired. Each person must complete a 25 day in-residence training program at the Foundation. Each graduate receives a dog, its equipment, a comprehensive training program and after-care services without charge.

Trains people in the use of computer, voice activation, windows and apple platforms, and various softwares.

Seeks to relieve some of the stresses and demands of daily life by offering services such as house cleaning, transportation, post-mastectomy accessory items and home catering to individuals coping with breast cancer. Referral required. Call. Walk in.

Provides a full range of rehabilitation services to help people with a wide variety of medical conditions, such as recovering from strokes, heart conditions, sports injuries, back problems, surgery, accidents, arthritis, and overuse conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, and more.

Offers on site Comprehensive Audiological Services: newborn hearing screening, diagnostic ABR/ASSR, VRA and behavioral audiometry, immitance testing, pediatric hearing aid fitting and programming/BAHA services, pediatric cochlear implant mapping, and device troubleshooting and repair. Offers Infant/Toddler and Preschool Educational Programming, including everyday listening strategies for the home; parent involvement based on auditory verbal principles; natural conversations as the basis of communication; weekly interaction with hearing peers; individualized speech and language therapy services; and integrated programs that include occupational therapy, physical therapy and other related services as needed. Also offers Family Education and Support. Free transportation available.

An education and support program that helps women with cancer manage the appearance-related side effects of treatment. Professional cosmetologists volunteer their expertise during group sessions. Complimentary kits containing name-brand cosmetics are distributed during group programs.

Provides the services of a Certified Low Vision Optometrist for individuals with decreasing vision. A low vision evaluation differs from the routine eye exam provided by an ophthalmologist in that it works with patients to maximize their remaining functional vision through the use of optical devices. This may include special lenses, magnifiers, telescopes, lighting, and/or glare reduction. When an individual is experiencing difficulty with tasks or things they enjoy doing due to vision loss, a low vision evaluation may be beneficial.

Provides comprehensive primary medical services, women's health services, podiatry, physical therapy, counseling, speech augmentative communication, and a seating and mobility clinic.

Provides the following clinical services: nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding/swallowing, psychology/evaluation/diagnosis, social work, & speech language pathology.
