This presentation is designed for any public or private building personnel, to educate them on how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation. This 2-hour program provides practical lessons on how to save lives. This program is available for all congregations, schools, offices, and businesses in the 5 East End towns of Suffolk County. Activities include backflow prevention, inspection and regulation of public beaches and swimming pools, information on beach openings and closings, inspections and monitoring of children's summer camps, demolition permits, monitors the quality of drinking water, conducts hearings on alleged violations of Public Health Laws, inspects food service establishments and investigates foodborne disease outbreaks, provides training for food service managers, responds to complaints regarding dog waste, garbage overflowing sewage and bird feeding, responds to heating complaints, regulates the removal or abandonment of fuel oil tanks, tests for lead exposure, investigates reports of animal bites and rodent complaints, inspects sewer connections/closures, controls the spread of mosquitoes, and inspects and provides sanitary control over motels and hotels.
