The Rockland County Department of Health, Division of Environmental Health is concerned with the impact of all actual and potential hazards in the environment (for example: food, drinking water, wastewater, recreational bathing water, lead, tobacco, body art, housing, recycling, children's' camps, mosquitoes, rabies, rodent control) and their influence on the community's health. The Division utilizes education, engineering, and enforcement to prevent and resolve environmental health problems.
