TASC (formerly known as the New York State GED Exam) can be taken in English, no longer available in french take out please or Spanish tutors introduce free online study resources and can provide one-to-one instruction in reading, writing, grammar, math, science and social studies. Prepare Radiologic Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Radiation Therapy Technologists and other Licensed Imaging Technologists to sit for and pass the ARRT exam in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Course curricula and clinical competency (at your place of employment or clinical affiliate) follow the guidelines established by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The curriculum has been developed to provide the student with the cognitive skills necessary for entry-level technologists to practice in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Students are required to pass the program with a minimum of a 75% grade point average and will receive the ASRT approved 87.5 CEU credits if they attend the entire didactic program. Attendance is mandatory for CEU credits. To qualify and complete all of the board requirements, Students will be required to meet all supervised clinical competency standards (at participating facilities or at your own place of employment) to be eligible for the ARRT exam. Offers a program that will provide students with the knowledge needed to perform the duties required of an entry-level Dialysis Technician trainee. The program covers the key principles of kidney function and failure and dialysis therapy, kidney dialysis machines, dialyzer preparation and reprocessing, as well as how to assist dialysis patients in managing their disease and treatment. The course is a remote format with 50 hours of instructor-led classes via Zoom video conferencing and access to an online system. Students with a high school diploma and who complete a minimum of one year of employment as a Dialysis Technician at an End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) or medical facility can apply to take the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT) Certified Hemodialysis Technician certifying exam. A current, government-issued ID and a clear record with no felonies is required to take the exam. This training is appropriate for RNs, EMTs, CNAs, PCTs and other health care professionals interested in specializing in dialysis. For those without healthcare experience, this course will provide basic dialysis treatment knowledge to make the student more marketable in applying for an employee training program at a Dialysis Treatment Center. Offers a comprehensive course that will prepare students to sit for the EKG Technician National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam. Students will be introduced to the basic anatomy and physiology terminology associated with the heart and circulatory systems, signs and symptoms of diseases, and the electrophysiology/conduction system of the heart. Other topics that are covered include medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, and stress testing. Students will be taught to use and operate ECG equipment. Lab sessions will provide hands-on practice for proper lead placement, 12-lead placement and other clinical practices, as well as allow students to meet the requirement for performing EKGs on live individuals. The course has 60 hours of instructor-led sessions in the classroom. Students must attend all classes and complete assignments, including all practical skills. To sit for the NHA certifying exam, candidates must meet the requirements specified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), including a high school diploma or equivalent.
