PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM | EASTERN SUFFOLK BOCES ADULT EDUCATION

Offers a non-credit-bearing certificate program leading to eligibility for the licensure examination and PN licensure. This program includes classroom theory, theoretical knowledge, and clinical experiences to prepare students to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure as a Practical Nurse and the opportunity to pursue advanced college training. The Eastern Suffolk School of Practical Nursing offers the following programs each September: An 11-month, full-time day program which meets September through August, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; A 17-month, part-time evening program which meets September through June, M-Th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. AND the following September through March, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and A part-time day program is available to seniors enrolled in the high schools of the first supervisory district which meets September through June, M-F from 7:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. OR 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Bixhorn Technical Center in Bellport, NY; AND will meet the following September through March, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Level II post secondary at the Adult Education Center in Brentwood. Offers comprehensive programs providing complete educational opportunities and support services for a diverse population. The Adult Education Program is tailored to meet the occupational and educational needs of adults 18 years or older. Students who successfully complete classes at Eastern Suffolk BOCES are provided unlimited opportunities within the job market. The Adult Education catalog offers numerous courses and programs that continue to be in demand in order to meet the employment needs of Long Islands workforce. All students are offered sequential courses of study and job placement information. Student funding may be available for your chosen field of study. Courses are offered at various locations.
